Resumo: The article addresses the issue of using Digital Information and Communication Technologies (DICT) in History Education within the public education networks of Jaguarão, Rio Grande do Sul state, Brazil. The general objective is to understand how DICT have been incorporated into the school context, particularly in the pedagogical practices of history teachers to contribute to the development of historical awareness in students. The methodology involved interviews with six History teachers. The data analysis indicates that teachers recognize the potential that DICT can offer in educational processes. Their integration into History lessons, however, is still limited due to factors ranging from a lack of training on the subject to the precariousness of the school environment’s structural conditions. El objetivo general es entender cómo las TDIC se han instaurado en el contexto educacional, particularmente, en la práctica pedagógica de los profesores de historia, para contribuir en el desarrollo de la consciencia histórica en los alumnos. La metodología fue realizada através de entrevistas con seis profesores de Historia. El análisis de los datos indica que los profesores reconocieron el potencial que las TDIC pueden brindar a los procesos educativos, pero su introducción en las clases de Historia aun es limitada por factores que van desde la falta de educación sobre el asunto hasta la precariedad de condiciones estructurales del ambiente estudiantil. PALABRAS CLAVE: Enseñanza de la Historia; Didáctica de la Historia; Conciencia Histórica; Formación de Profesores.O artigo apresenta como problemática o uso das Tecnologias Digitais de Informação e Comunicação (TDIC) no Ensino de História no contexto das redes públicas de ensino de Jaguarão/RS. O objetivo geral é compreender como as TDIC têm se inserido no contexto escolar, notadamente, na prática pedagógica dos professores de história, de forma a contribuir para o desenvolvimento da consciência histórica nos educandos. A metodologia foi realizada através de entrevistas com seis professores de História. A análise dos dados indica que os professores demonstram reconhecer o potencial que as TDIC podem proporcionar nos processos educativos, porém sua introdução nas aulas de História ainda é bem limitada por fatores que perpassam desde a falta de formação sobre o tema até a precariedade das condições estruturais do ambiente escolar.
