Resumo: Literature and poetry have always been attentive to situations of conflict in society. At the present moment, where we see the problems caused by wars, xenophobia and prejudice, more than ever, literature must occupy its space dealing with humanistic and pacifist issues. Without falling in to the pamphleteer and the dogmatic, always taking care that it must be art, poetry plays an important role in the difficult times in which we live: that of sustaining humanism.

En la actualidad, momento en el que vemos aguzar selos problemas causados por las guerras, la xenofobia y los prejuicios sociales, más que nunca la literatura debe ocupar su espacio tratando de cuestiones humanistas y pacifistas. Sin caer en lo panfletario y dogmático, cuidando siempre lo que es arte, la poesía tiene un papel importante en los tiempos difíciles que vivimos: el mantenimiento del humanismo.A literatura e a poesia sempre estiveram atentas às situações de conflito da sociedade. No momento atual, no qual vemos acirrarem-se os problemas causados por guerras, xenofobia e preconceito, mais do que nunca a literatura deve ocupar o seu espaço tratando de assuntos humanísticos e pacifistas.
