This article aims to understand the anti-racist struggle and the discussion about the crime of racism from the struggle trajectory of black social movements. The definition of race brought in the text has reference to colonialism, the project of expansion and European domination over the other colonized peoples. Racism is understood as a power structure, structured and institutionalized in Brazilian society since the colonial and slavery period, it is also modeled and legitimized by law and legal institutions during and after the abolition of slavery. The text presents as problematic: To verify how the Collective Enough of Racism (Coletivo Chega de Racismo in portuguese) de Criciúma / SC acts in cases of racism crimes and what is the perception of its members on the theme in the anti-racist struggle? To answer the research problem, the text is structured in three parts: a) to study racism from racial theories in Brazil, the concept of race as a sociological factor of description and analysis of race relations; b) understand the penal system and the crime of racism from the field of Critical Criminology, recognizing the mechanisms of criminal selectivity that act on black people and the operation of the Brazilian penal system; c) to analyze the Collective Enough of Racism in the municipality of Criciúma and its contribution so that the rights of black people are ensured in the occurrence of complaints of crimes of racism and that they act. The work has a deductive method, monographic procedure and bibliographic and documentary research technique and semi-structured interview.
