THE PRODUCTION OF DOCUMENTARIES IN SCHOOL PHYSICAL EDUCATION: THE USE OF TECHNOLOGIES FOR THE INCREASE OF CRITICAL THINKING OF STUDENTS IN HIGH SCHOOL

Resumo: The purpose of this study was to describe and analyze a pedagogical experience, carried out with high school students. During Physical Education classes, they analyzed socio-cultural aspects related to sports and constructed documentaries on different subjects: religion, racism, sexism, homophobia, socioeconomic inequality, doping, media, health, talent selection, as well as the Olympic Games and World Cup in Brazil. The students were encouraged to produce knowledge about the topics discussed in class; critically analyze the media and sport; perceive themselves as a producer of the media. When we discuss the documentaries produced, we identified that many students began to look more critically at the issues surrounding sports. The dialogue between school and university allowed to approach these two contexts and to conclude that the use of the media in the classes can favor the participation of the students of the High School, making the learning significant.

Durante las clases de Educación Física ellos analizaron aspectos socioculturales relacionados al deporte y construyeron documentales sobre diferentes temas: religión, racismo, machismo, homofobia, desigualdad socioeconómica, dopaje, medios, salud, selección de talentos, así como olimpiadas y copa del mundo en Brasil. Los estudiantes fueron estimulados a producir conocimiento sobre los temas debatidos en clase, a analizar críticamente los medios y el deporte ya percibirse como productor de los medios. Al discutir sobre los documentales producidos, identificamos que muchos/muchas estudiantes pasaron a mirar de forma más crítica para los temas que envuelven el deporte. El diálogo entre escuela y universidad permitió aproximar estos dos contextos y concluir que la utilización de los medios en las aulas puede favorecer la participación de los/las estudiantes de la Enseñanza Media, haciendo el aprendizaje significante.O objetivo desse estudo foi descrever e analisar uma experiência pedagógica, realizada com estudantes do Ensino Médio. Durante as aulas de Educação Física eles e elas analisaram aspectos socioculturais relacionados ao esporte e construíram documentários sobre diferentes temas: religião, racismo, machismo, homofobia, desigualdade socioeconômica, doping, mídia, saúde, seleção de talentos, assim como olimpíadas e copa do mundo no Brasil. Os estudantes foram estimulados a produzir conhecimento sobre os temas debatidos em aula, a analisar criticamente a mídia e o esporte e a perceber-se como produtor da mídia. Ao discutir sobre os documentários produzidos, identificamos que muitos discentes passaram a olhar de forma mais crítica para os temas que envolvem o esporte.
