“A FIGHT AGAINST WINDMILLS”: CONCEPTIONS OF PLAY IN 8 BRAZILIAN CURRICULUM PROPOSALS FOR PHYSICAL EDUCATION AFTER LDB/1996

Resumo: Although seen as a “classic content”, the Play as theme or content is not taken “seriously” in school Physical Education. The aim this research was to analyse the conceptions of Play in 8 Brazilian curricular proposals of Physical Education, after LDB. This is a qualitative research of the narrative review type. The sources were 8 Physical Education curricular proposals (Federal and State). The interpretative analysis supported the readings and the insights that substantiated the interpretations. The documents bring contributions when conceiving the Play as a fundamental activity for development and learning, an element of playful culture or didactic strategy and treating it as content, methodology and evaluation. However, there are shortcomings regarding to no distinction between Play and Playful and the absence of didacts for the Play. Finally, the study contributes by pointing out evidences of a didactic for the Play and reaffirming that it is necessary to take the Play “seriously” in school Physical Education.

El objetivo de esta investigación fue analizar las concepciones del Juego en 8 propuestas curriculares brasileñas de Educación Física, después de LDB. Esta es una investigación cualitativa del tipo de revisión narrativa. Las fuentes fueran 8 propuestas curriculares de la Educación Física (Federal y Estatal). El análisis interpretativo apoyó las lecturas y las ideas que corroboraron las interpretaciones. Los documentos aportan contribuciones al concebir el Juego como una actividad fundamental para el desarrollo y el aprendizaje, un elemento de cultura lúdica o estrategia didáctica y tratarlo como contenido, metodología y evaluación. Sin embargo, existen deficiencias con respecto a no distinción entre Juego y Lúdico y la ausencia de una didáctica para el Juego. Finalmente, el estudio contribuye señalando evidencia de una didáctica para el Juego y reafirmando que es necesario tomar el Juego “en serio” en la Educación Física escolar.Ainda que visto como um “conteúdo clássico”, o Jogo como tema ou conteúdo não é levado “a sério” na Educação Física escolar. O objetivo da pesquisa foi analisar as concepções de Jogo em oito propostas curriculares de Educação Física brasileira, pós LDB. Trata-se de pesquisa qualitativa do tipo revisão narrativa. As fontes foram 8 propostas curriculares de Educação Física (Federais e estaduais). A análise interpretativa embasou as leituras e os insights que consubstanciaram as interpretações. Os documentos trazem contribuições ao conceber o Jogo como atividade fundamental ao desenvolvimento e aprendizagem, elemento de cultura lúdica ou estratégia didática e tratá-lo como conteúdo, metodologia e avaliação. Porém, há insuficiências quanto à indistinção entre Jogo e Lúdico e a ausência de uma didática para o Jogo.
