Resumo: The present monographic work has as scope the analysis of the institute of impeachment, as foreseen in our legal system, by means of the analysis of the existence of the institute in all the Constitutions of the country. It also has as an objective, the analysis of the political criteria that influence the process of impediment of the President of the Republic. From another point of view, it is studied about the crimes of responsibility, foreseen in the Act n. 1.079 / 50. The study included a complete analysis of the institute as configured in the Brazilian legal system, having as parameter the 1988 Charter. Finally, a brief analysis of the whole process before the two Houses of the National Congress, as well as the qualification of the Senate of the Republic as natural judge of the case.

Sobre outro ponto de vista, estuda-se acerca dos crimes de responsabilidade, previstos na Lei n. 1.079/50. O estudo abarcou uma análise completa do instituto como configurado no ordenamento jurídico brasileiro, tendo como parâmetro a Carta de 1988.
