FROM MATHEMATICAL EDUCATION TO YOUTH AND ADULT MATHEMATICAL EDUCATION

Resumo: This article is a theoretical discussion on the field of Mathematics Education in its relationship with Youth and Adult Education (EJA), and the consequent emergence of the theme of Youth and Adult Mathematics Education. In this way, it is proposed to establish the meaning, justification for its constitution, relevance and origins of this theme in the scope of themes investigated by Mathematics Education, characterized as a professional and scientific field, in an attempt to demarcate this theme as a necessary action to improve the teaching-learning process of mathematical knowledge in the specific universe of EJA, in meeting the sociocultural specificities of its students. As a consideration, is essential the constitution of this theme arising from the deepening of studies and the carrying out of new researches, based on the commitment to the production of knowledge that enables educators and teachers who teach Mathematics in EJA to carry out their work consistent with the singularities and characteristics of this modality, safeguarding the opposition to any action based on the ideals of a merely supplementary, compensatory and excluding education, and placing itself with the principle of improving the living conditions of its students.

De esta manera, se propone establecer el significado, justificación de su constitución, relevancia y orígenes de esta temática en el ámbito de los temas investigados por la Educación Matemática, caracterizada como un campo profesional y científico, en un intento de demarcar este tema como una acción necesaria para mejorar el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje del conocimiento matemático en el universo específico de EJA, en el cumplimiento de las especificidades socioculturales de sus estudiantes. Como consideración, es fundamental la constitución de este temática a partir de la profundización de estudios y de la realización de nuevas investigaciones, partiendo del compromiso con la producción de conocimiento que capacite a los educadores y profesores que enseñan Matemática en EJA para llevar a cabo su labor acorde con las singularidades y características de esta modalidad, salvaguardando la oposición a cualquier acción basada en los ideales de una educación meramente complementaria, compensatoria y excluyente, y colocándose en el principio de mejorar las condiciones de vida de sus estudiantes.Este artigo trata-se de uma discussão teórica sobre o campo da Educação Matemática na sua relação com a Educação de Jovens e Adultos (EJA), e a consequente emergência da temática da Educação Matemática de Jovens e Adultos. Deste modo, se propõe estabelecer qual o significado, justificativa para sua constituição, relevância e origens dessa temática no âmbito dos temas investigados pela Educação Matemática, caracterizada como um campo profissional e científico, numa tentativa de demarcar essa temática como uma ação necessária à melhoria do processo de ensino-aprendizagem dos conhecimentos matemáticos no universo específico da EJA, no atendimento às especificidades socioculturais dos seus educandos.
