THE IMPORTANCE OF SCHOOL-FAMILY INTERACTION IN THE EDUCATIONAL LEARNING PROCESS

Resumo: The family and school need to work together to improve student´s performance. The goal of this study was to provide a critical reflection on the importance of school-family interaction in the teaching-learning process. A practical-reflexive study was conducted about promoting meaningful learning, leading to an improvement in student performance through increased family involvement in the school. The study was organized into three parts: we began by addressing the main perspectives of researchers regarding the role of the family in the school. This was followed by a reflection on the main limitations encountered by students and teachers, associated with family involvement in the school. To conclude, we present the mechanisms for monitoring and evaluation, and we mention the expectations and potential obstacles to contribute, to considerations about the role of the family in transforming the quality of education, as well as indicating possible solutions through actions to be carried out through the school-family-community partnership.

El objetivo de este estudio fue proporcionar una reflexión crítica sobre la importancia de la interacción escuela-familia en el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje. Se realizó un estudio práctico-reflexivo sobre cómo promover el aprendizaje significativo y mejorar el rendimiento de los alumnos mediante una mayor participación de la familia en la escuela. El estudio se organizó en tres partes: en primer lugar, se analizaron los principales puntos de vista de los investigadores sobre la actuación de las familias en la escuela. A continuación, reflexionamos sobre las principales limitaciones encontradas por alumnos y profesores en relación con la participación de las familias en la escuela. Por último, presentamos los mecanismos de seguimiento y evaluación y mencionamos las expectativas y los posibles obstáculos, con el fin de contribuir a las reflexiones sobre el papel de la familia en la transformación de la calidad de la enseñanza, así como indicar posibles soluciones a través de acciones a realizar mediante la asociación escuela-familia-comunidad.A Família e escola precisam trabalhar juntas para promover um melhor desempenho dos alunos. Objetivou-se com este estudo propiciar uma reflexão crítica sobre a importância da interação escola-família no processo de ensino aprendizagem. Foi realizado um estudo prático-reflexivo sobre a promoção da aprendizagem significativa, proporcionando melhoria no desempenho dos alunos a partir da maior participação da família na escola. O estudo foi organizado em três partes: primeiramente abordamos as principais visões dos pesquisadores sobre a ação da família na escola. Seguida pela reflexão sobre as principais limitações encontradas pelos alunos e professores, associadas a participação da família na escola.
