Resumo: | The promulgation of Law No. 13,278/16, which establishes the mandatory content of music, visual arts, theater and dance in basic education, together with the growing need for teacher training, served as motivation for research on the use of digital games in continuing training of music teachers. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the impacts of continuing training for an elementary school music teacher through the use of digital games as an educational tool. To this end, a qualitative study was carried out through collaborative research that involved collaboration between the researcher and an elementary school music teacher. Data collection included document analysis, observations, interviews and questionnaires. Discursive textual analysis (DTA) was applied to examine collected discursive texts. Data analysis revealed that continuing teacher training through digital games was validated, as it promoted teacher enthusiasm and student engagement. The results also pointed to the importance of planning and reflection when using digital games and highlighted the collaboration between researchers and teachers. We hope that the pedagogical strategy investigated in this study, based on collaborative research, presents an alternative pedagogical approach to the context of music education. |
