THE FORMATIVE PROCESS IN NURSING ABOUT MEDICATIONS IN ENTERAL TUBES

Resumo: During the course of academic and professional training, issues involving the administration of medications deserve differentiated attention due to their importance and the risks that are generated. For the administration of medications in patients with enteral tubes, the professional nurse must analyze the risk of alteration of the active ingredient of the drug, the risk of tube obstruction, and whether the speed of absorption of the drug is altered or not by the presence of the enteral diet. The objective of this article was to report the experience of the development of a distance learning course (DE), arising from a university extension project on drug administration through enteral tubes, applying theSystemic Ecological Cybernetic Theory of Nursing (TSECE), by Rosalda Paim. The formative process of the course contemplated theoretical and conceptual frameworks of health educational practices and health educational technologies. The course offered 30 vacancies and lasted 45 days. It was organizedin four sequential modules, including didactic and audiovisual materials, and offered to a groupcomposed of nurses and nursing students. Twelve participants were enrolled, three nurses and ninenursing students. Of the 12 participants, seven completed the course and five dropped out. Positive aspects of the experience with the EaD course were reported by the participants, such as the ease of use of the Moodle platform and the availability of didactic materials (manual and complementary bibliographicmaterials) that could be used in the field. They suggested that the content of the theoretical reference should be more in-depth in the videos made available. EaD courses that provide access to materials that facilitate the appropriation of content and learning in the workplace are powerful for the technical and scientific improvement of nursing professionals and students. Further studies are needed, seeking to understand the reasons for dropping out of the course.

Para a administração de medicamentos em pacientes com sonda enteral, o profissional enfermeiro deve analisar o risco de alteração do princípio ativo do fármaco, o risco de obstrução da sonda e se a velocidade de absorção do fármaco é alterada ou não pela presença da dieta enteral. O objetivo desse artigo foi relatar a experiência do desenvolvimento de curso de educação a distância (EaD), oriundo de um projeto de extensão universitária sobre administração de medicamentos por sondas enterais, aplicando a Teoria Sistêmica Ecológica Cibernética de Enfermagem (TSECE), de Rosalda Paim. O processo formativo do curso contemplou marcos teóricos e conceituais de práticas educativas em saúde e tecnologias educacionais em saúde. O curso ofereceu 30 vagas e teve duração de 45 dias. Foi organizado em quatro módulos de caráter sequencial, incluindo materiais didáticos e audiovisuais, sendo ofertado para uma turma composta por enfermeiros e estudantes de enfermagem. Inscreveram-se 12 participantes, três enfermeiros e nove estudantes de enfermagem. Dos 12 participantes, sete concluíram o curso e cinco evadiram. Aspectos positivos da experiência com o curso EaD foram relatados pelos participantes, como a facilidade de manejo na plataforma Moodle e a disponibilização dos materiais didáticos (manual e materiais bibliográficos complementares) que puderam ser utilizados no campo de trabalho. Sugeriram aprofundar mais o conteúdo de referencial teórico nos vídeos disponibilizados. Cursos na modalidade EaD, que possibilitem o acesso a materiais que facilitem a apropriação de conteúdos e a aprendizagem nos espaços de trabalho, são potentes para o aprimoramento técnico-cientifico para profissionais e estudantes de enfermagem.
