Resumo: Approaching the entry into force of the new Brazilian Code of Civil Procedure (Law No.13,105/2015), grows the expectation among the legal community because of the new Code potential in design a faster process, fairer, less complex. This way, there were a lot of changes introduced by the new statute, among which, we can mention the defendant's answers modalities. What has changed in the defendant's replies from the previous code? What is the meaning of these changes? The article shows what has changed in the defendant's answers, making a comparison between the new Brazilian Code of Civil Procedure/2015 and the Brazilian Code of Civil Procedure from 1973, which is currently in force.

Neste sentido, foram muitas as alterações trazidas pelo novo diploma legal, dentre as quais, podemos citar as modalidades de respostas do réu. O que mudou nas respostas do réu em relação ao Código anterior? Qual o sentido dessas mudanças?
