The article presents concerns a work of completion of the Faculty of Education, addressing the theme of acceptance and adaptation in early childhood education, in order to understand the importance of host on the complexity of the adaptation process. using as methods to reach it, the literature, which brings understanding of authors on the subject and field research through observations in a kindergarten in the city of Goianinha / RN, more specifically, a level II class in which it was possible to know the reality of the adaptation process and the importance of the host before this. Realizing it is through the research carried out, that the adaptation of children starting their school life in early childhood education is a very painful process for the child and complex for all others involved: parents and teachers, so that the host, which is well planned and organized to welcome and very welcome children, is constituted as a factor responsible for alleviating the suffering and stress experienced during the adaptation process and makes it more quiet.
