Potentials and challenges of remote learning for deaf students in times of pandemic at IF Goiano - Campus Rio Verde/GO: a case study

Resumo: | This work aims to identify the potential and challenges of deaf people in remote classes at the IF Goiano, Campus Rio Verde – GO. This is a case study carried out with deaf students in the subject Cost Analysis and Price Formation, in the 3rd period of the Technical in Administration course. This research is justified, since the inclusion of deaf students is a topic of social relevance: access to education is a right of all citizens and the pandemic brought new challenges for those involved in the education of deaf students. The case study, based on bibliographical research, had direct observation and interview as a method of virtual data collection. Qualitative data analysis demonstrates that the inclusion of deaf students through Libras, with a bilingual teaching-learning approach, is the best alternative to adequately meet the specific needs of deaf education. Information technologies and the use of visual resources can also contribute to the teaching-learning process. Given the complexity and importance of the topic, it is recommended that the studies initiated in this research be continued and expanded to enhance their results. |

Se trata de un caso de estudio realizado con estudiantes sordos en la asignatura Análisis de Costes y Formación de Precios, en el 3er periodo de la asignatura Técnica en Administración. Esta investigación está justificada, ya que la inclusión de estudiantes sordos es un tema de relevancia social: el acceso a la educación es un derecho de toda la ciudadanía y la pandemia trajo nuevos desafíos para los involucrados en la educación de estudiantes sordos. El estudio de caso, basado en la investigación bibliográfica, utilizó la observación directa y entrevistas semiestructuradas como método de recolección virtual de datos. El análisis de datos cualitativos demuestra que la inclusión de estudiantes sordos a través de Libras, con un enfoque de enseñanza-aprendizaje bilingüe, es la mejor alternativa para satisfacer adecuadamente las necesidades específicas de la educación de sordos. Las tecnologías de la información y el uso de recursos visuales también pueden contribuir al proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje. Dada la complejidad e importancia del tema, se recomienda continuar y ampliar los estudios iniciados en esta investigación para potenciar sus resultados.Este trabalho objetiva identificar as potencialidades e os desafios dos surdos nas aulas remotas do IF Goiano, Campus Rio Verde – GO. Trata-se de um estudo de caso realizado com os alunos surdos na disciplina Análise de Custos e Formação de Preços, no 3º período do curso Técnico em Administração. Justifica-se a realização desta pesquisa, uma vez que a inclusão dos alunos surdos é um tema de relevância social: o acesso à educação é direito de todos os cidadãos e a pandemia trouxe novos desafios para os envolvidos na educação dos alunos surdos. O estudo de caso, fundamentado pela pesquisa bibliográfica, teve como método de coleta de dados virtual a observação direta e a entrevista semiestruturada. A análise qualitativa dos dados demonstra que a inclusão dos alunos surdos por meio da Libras, com uma abordagem de ensino-aprendizagem bilíngue, é a melhor alternativa para atender adequadamente às especificidades da educação dos surdos. As tecnologias da informação e o uso de recursos visuais também podem contribuir no processo de ensino-aprendizagem.
