Based on a qualitative case study on the Educom.Cine extension program, which promoted audiovisual production in elementary education, we reflected on the possibility of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) becoming the backbone of a more attentive curriculum to the processes of integration of school with its locality. In this perspective, school would become the center of management of several community communication channels, where school production would be linked and publicized to the whole community. This would be part of a proposal to integrate the use of ICT in school environment with its non-formal use, stimulating the students to act in the local (neighborhood) considering also the global, in a glocal perspective.
