Freirean Culture of circles: methodological instrument for professional education

This work is a consequence of an experience in the Technical Course in Tourist Guide Subsequent to High School, offered by the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Paraíba, Advanced Campus Cabedelo Centro, in Barra do Mamanguape, Rio Tinto-PB. Our objective is to report the didactic-pedagogical experience with students during the execution of the professional course, in which we use the Freirean methodology, which is based on the dialogical relationship between the student and the educator, using the culture circle as an instrument of interaction between these actors and their reality. In the trajectory of the elaboration and implementation of the refered method, the successful experience of Angicos-RN was registered. In the work we now present, we found that the Freirean method can and must be used in addition to the act of literacy, since our experience was also successful in professional education classes. Finally, we conclude by understanding that the culture circle is a timeless and totally viable methodological instrument to fill the gaps in a systemic model of education, which, in many times, does not meet the Brazilian socio-cultural heterogeneity and its particularities.
