School of Capixaba Land: teacher training experiences

Resumo: This article presents the formative experiences of rural teachers in the south of Espirito Santo state who participated in the Specialization Course in Rural Education – School of Capixaba Land. The actions of this continuing education were linked to the performance of the research group CNPq Cultures, Partnerships, and Contryside Education, from the Federal University of Espirito Santo is referenced in the assumptions of contryside education, focusing on the epistemology of praxis as a basis for the construction of knowledge and critical and emancipating training. The base of the study's methodology is the assumptions of (auto)biographical narrative research, with teachers who work in the early years of elementary school as collaborators. The results reveal that the training process enabled the teachers to rethink their practice, making them more sensitive to the reality of peasant students and contributing to narrowing the gap in studies on countryside education that exists between initial and continuing training.

The results reveal that the training process enabled the teachers to rethink their practice, making them more sensitive to the reality of peasant students and contributing to narrowing the gap in studies on countryside education that exists between initial and continuing training.Este texto traz experiências formativas de professoras do campo do sul do estado do Espírito Santo que participaram do curso de Especialização em Educação do Campo – Escola da Terra Capixaba.  As ações dessa formação continuada estiveram ligadas à atuação do grupo de pesquisa CNPq Culturas, Parcerias e Educação do Campo, da Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, e foram referenciadas nos pressupostos da educação do campo, com foco na epistemologia da práxis como base para a construção de conhecimentos e de uma formação crítica e emancipadora. A metodologia do estudo se ancora nos pressupostos da pesquisa narrativa (auto)biográfica, tendo como colaboradoras as professoras que atuam nos anos iniciais do ensino fundamental.
