Resumo: | This study has as purpose to analyze the relationship between barriers perception, support in the work environment and the prevalence of symptoms of depression and anxiety, and to compare the differences of perceptions of different groups of women inserted in different careers. 141 women, aged between 19 and 57 years, participated in the study. Among them, 52,5% worked in predominantly male careers and 47.5% were in other careers. An online survey was conducted comprising the General Health Questionnaire, Career Support Questionnaire, Career Barrier Inventory, and Sociodemographic Questionnaire. The results of the multiple regression analysis indicated that the higher the perception of barriers in the career, the higher the anxiety and depression rates, and this relationship is contrary to the perception of support. In addition, all correlation and regression coefficients were higher in the group of women in predominantly male careers. It is necessary to develop strategies that favor gender equity and value women's talents, as well as offering an environment that is friendly to all, but considering the particularities of each group. |
