Inservice teacher education in pandemic times: the case of the MAIA Project

Resumo: The Monitoring, Following-up, and Research in Pedagogical Assessment Project (MAIA Project) is an inservice teacher education project that began in September 2019, aiming at improving assessment and teaching practices as well as student learning. After about five months, in the middle of the pandemic, it was possible to continue the project. Despite the pandemic and the difficulties it created, results have shown that the project dimensions, the theoretical and conceptual framework and the training processes and dynamics used seem to have been decisive to achieve its purposes and its recognized and proven success.

Después de unos cinco meses, en medio de la pandemia, fue posible continuar con el proyecto. A pesar de la pandemia y las dificultades que generó, los resultados mostraron que las dimensiones del proyecto, el marco teórico y conceptual y los procesos y dinámicas de formación utilizados parecen haber sido determinantes para el logro de sus propósitos y su reconocido y probado éxito.O Projeto de Monitorização, Acompanhamento e Investigação em Avaliação Pedagógica (Projeto MAIA) é um projeto de formação contínua de professores que se iniciou em setembro de 2019, para melhorar práticas de avaliação e ensino e as aprendizagens dos alunos. Após cerca de cinco meses, em plena pandemia, foi possível dar continuidade ao projeto.
