Resumo: | This work addresses the process of teaching Portuguese as a non-native language to Spanish speakers who are in a context of immersion in Brazil. It aims to identify the representations (MOSCOVICI, 2015; AMOSSY; PIERROT, 2001; KULIKOWSKI; GONZÁLEZ, 1999) that these students have of the Portuguese language and how they are reflected in their written production in the classroom. The theoretical framework is based on a qualitative and interpretive approach (HOLMES, 1992; MOITA LOPES, 1994) through action research (THIOLLENT, 1985, cited by BALDISSERA, 2001). The data is obtained from two sources: (i) a questionnaire and (ii) students’ texts written in the classroom, and its analysis provides a widening of the discussion about the teaching and learning of Portuguese to Spanish speakers. |

O presente trabalho aborda o processo de ensino-aprendizagem de Português como Língua Não Materna (PLNM) a falantes de espanhol em contexto de imersão no Brasil. Busca-se identificar as representações (MOSCOVICI, 2015; AMOSSY; PIERROT, 2001; KULIKOWSKI; GONZÁLEZ, 1999) prévias que esses estudantes têm da língua portuguesa e como essas se refletem em sua produção escrita em contexto de sala de aula. Para tanto, baseamo-nos na abordagem qualitativo-interpretativista (HOLMES,1992; MOITA LOPES, 1994) por meio da pesquisa-ação (THIOLLENT, 2001, citado por BALDISSERA, 2001). A partir da análise dos dados, obtidos em dois momentos – (i) por intermédio de questionário e (ii) de produções escritas dos estudantes em contexto de sala de aula –, pretende-se ampliar a discussão sobre o ensino de português a falantes de espanhol.
