Resumo: This research discusses about teaching in business administration and We aimed to present the relationship between the idealized conception business man and the perception of the protagonists about teaching in business administration. As justification for this work has been the postulated by Barnett (2009), which states only be possible to determine what knowledge should be taught and how to meetings with such knowledge, after determining which characteristics wants to develop in graduates (BARNETT, 2009). This research is qualitative, data were collected through focus groups (with students) and interviews (with teachers), two institutions of higher education, the findings were analyzed based on Discourse Analysis (PÊCHEUX, 2009). The results show that the Administrator, designed by the protagonists in teaching in business administration, is a team leader, someone able to manage relationships, conflict, and communication skills, and a figure that amounts career quickly. About higher education administration, the actors considered polarized and deficiencies that may limit the development of egress. Under the lens of the protagonists, higher education administration is not able to develop the Administrator.

Como justificativa para realización de este trabajo se considera lo enseñado por Barnett (2009), que afirma sólo es posible determinar cuales conocimientos deben ser enseñados y como deben ser los encuentros con los referidos conocimientos, depués de determinar cuales características se quieren desarrollar en los graduados (BARNETT, 2009). Esta investigación es de naturaleza cualitativa, los datos fueron colectados por medio de grupos de foco y entrevistas, de dos instituciones de enseñanza superior brasileras, los datos recolectados fueron analisados con base en el Análisis de Discurso. Los resultados muestran que el Administrador, concebido por los protagonistas de la enseñanza superior de Administración, es un líder de equipo, alguien capaz de gerenciar relacionamientos, conflictos, comunicación y competencias, además de una figura que asciende en la carrera rápidamente. Acerca de la enseñanza superior de Administración, los protagonistas lo consideraron polarizado y con deficiencias que limitan el desarrollo del graduado. Bajo los lentes de los protagonistas, la enseñanza superior de Administración no es capaz de desarrollar el Administrador.Esta investigação abordou o tema ensino superior de administração e teve como objetivo apresentar a relação entre a concepção idealizada de Administrador e a percepção dos protagonistas a respeito do ensino superior de administração. Como justificativa para realização deste trabalho tem-se o ensinado por Barnett (2009), que afirma só ser possível determinar quais conhecimentos devem ser ensinados e como devem ser os encontros com os referidos conhecimentos, depois de determinar quais características se quer desenvolver nos egressos (BARNETT, 2009). Esta pesquisa é de natureza qualitativa, os dados foram coletados por meio de grupos de foco (com estudantes) e entrevistas (com professores), de duas instituições de ensino superior brasileiras, os achados foram analisados com base na Análise do Discurso (PÊCHEUX, 2009). Os resultados mostram que o Administrador, concebido pelos protagonistas do ensino superior de administração, é um líder de equipe, alguém capaz de gerenciar relacionamentos, conflitos, comunicação e competências, além de uma figura que ascende na carreira rapidamente. Acerca do ensino superior de administração, os protagonistas o consideraram polarizado e com deficiências que podem limitar o desenvolvimento do egresso.
