Post-school life for the person with intellectual disability: an analysis from their reports

The work is part of the research on the process of inclusion of young people with intellectual disabilities. A clipping was made on a research entitled "Talking about self: self-perception studies and life histories of people with intellectual disabilities". Through an integrative review, the texts that included the speech of subjects with intellectual disability on the themes of inclusion in the world of work and future perspectives were analyzed. The conclusions point out the need to elaborate pedagogical proposals that consider and potentiate what these students have to say about their conditions and needs. It is possible to conclude that, despite the guarantee of the access of these students to the school spaces, whether in classes of common teaching, classes or special schools, there is still a need of resignification on teaching and learning processes of this public.
