A bibliographical review about the participation of students from professional education in the evaluation of institutions and courses

Resumo: | The evaluation of institutions and courses is an essential action for improvement of educational establishments. Promoting the participation of students is the most meaningful way to obtain relevant information about this process. This study of systematic review of bibliography aimed at reviewing the national bibliography published from 2013 to 2018, about papers developed with students from technical and technological professional education from Federal Institutes of Education, Science and Technology. Thus, a survey was carried out in the database of Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO), Google Academic and in the Periodic Portal of CAPES. It was observed that the professional inclusion of the students tends to be the parameter most commonly used to evaluate institutions and courses, followed by satisfaction with the education received. By analyzing the results, it is inferred that the parameter used to assess institutions and courses focused only on professional inclusion. Despite its good results, this is insufficient, considering the existence of several factors which interfere in this process, regardless the institution acting. Regarding the satisfaction of the students with the education received, it is understood, in general, as a positive evaluation of institutions and courses. As for the parameter of effectiveness of professional education and regional socioeconomic development, the authors highlighted how essential the role of education is in this process. In sum, the evaluation of institutions and courses, from this perspective, is an important means to obtain necessary feedback to promote improvement actions of educational policies. |

Promover a participação do egresso é uma das formas mais significativa de obter informações relevantes nesse processo. Este estudo de revisão sistemática da literatura teve como objetivo revisar a literatura nacional publicada no período compreendido ente 2013 e 2018, de trabalhos desenvolvidos com egressos oriundos da educação profissional técnica e tecnológica dos Institutos Federais de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia. Para tanto, foi realizada uma busca nas bases de dados na Scientific Eletronic Library Online (SciELO), Google Acadêmico e no Portal de Periódicos da CAPES. Observou-se que, a inserção profissional do egresso tende a ser o parâmetro mais utilizado para a avaliação institucional e de cursos, seguido da satisfação com a formação recebida. Os resultados demonstram que, em se tratando do ensino técnico e tecnológico, até esse momento, são poucos os trabalhos de investigação na área, e que, portanto, a valorização do egresso como participante indispensável na avaliação institucional e de curso ainda tem um longo caminho a ser percorrido. Pelos resultados apresentados, verifica-se que o parâmetro de avaliação institucional e de curso focado apenas na inserção profissional, mesmo tendo apresentado bons resultados nos casos estudados, torna-se insuficiente, considerando a existência de fatores diversos que interferem nesse processo e que independem da atuação da instituição. No tocante à satisfação do egresso com a formação recebida, constata-se, no geral, uma avaliação positiva das instituições e dos cursos. Quanto ao parâmetro da efetividade da educação profissional e desenvolvimento socioeconômico regional, os autores destacaram a essencialidade do papel da educação nesse processo. Conclui-se que a avaliação institucional e de curso, nessa perspectiva, é um meio importante de obtenção do feedback necessário à promoção de ações de aperfeiçoamento das políticas educacionais.
