Cultura de escola: entre as coisas e as memórias

O estudo ora exposto procura demonstrar que a cultura da escola se desdobra em duas áreas de referência fundamentais: a) o que tem sido chamado cultura material da escola, constituída pelo universo de objectos e instrumentos utilizados no exercício da actividade de ensino/aprendizagem e b) o discurso instituinte desse mesmo projecto, o qual envolve no mesmo movimento a relação de aprendizagem e a relação interpessoal. Para analisar este último aspecto da cultura da escola, recorremos preferencialmente a egodocumentos, reduzidos desta vez a um breve conjunto de documentos escritos a pedido do investigador e centrados em torno da acçãolrelação entre professor e aluno na escola primária portuguesa dos finais do século XX. Tais depoimentos foram expressamente elaborados para este trabalho, cuja finalidade não foi todavia explicitada aos autores dos testemunhos.Abstract:This study is intended to show that school culture unfolds itself in two very important reference areas. One is what has been called school material eulture, and is constituted by the set of objects and instruments used in the teaching / learning activity. The other one is the instituting discourse of this same project, which involves the learning and interpersonal relationships together. To analyze this last aspect of school culture, we have resorted especially to ego-documents, this time reduced to a brief set of documents written after required for the investigation and focusing on the action / relationship between teachers and students in Porruguese primary schools at the end of the 20'10century. The testimonies taken were especially prepared for this work, although the intentions behind them have nor been declared to their authors.Key words: School-teacher. Punishment. Culture. Material
