Breaking down walls, weaving nets: an analysis of the mandala curriculum of the Escola Municipal Polo de Educação Integrada

Resumo: | Understanding the need to understand integral education as a teaching modality that, even being discussed since the end of the last century, still brings some doubts about its characterization, this study aims to make a qualitative documentary analysis of the curriculum proposal of the Municipal School Pole of Integrated Education (EMPOEINT), located in the city of Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais. The school's proposal places the subject as its starting point and, therefore, aims at his/her integral formation. In this sense, the notion of integral education becomes a central point in the curriculum proposal of EMPOEINT and can be a good example to help clarify hazy aspects of the aforementioned understanding. In this sense, a qualitative study of the documental kind was carried out, in which documents that govern the national education were analyzed, in order to build a cut about the integral education in the country and after, the Pedagogical Political Project of the school, bringing an interpretive-descriptive analysis to highlight unique characteristics of the curricular proposal of the school in question, the curriculum-mandala. From the analysis, it is believed that the curriculum-mandala allows the student to find in school a passage, an endless path of construction and deconstruction of knowledge, taking as method the movement brought in the title of this work: breaking down walls, weaving networks. |

From the analysis, it is believed that the curriculum-mandala allows the student to find in school a passage, an endless path of construction and deconstruction of knowledge, taking as method the movement brought in the title of this work: breaking down walls, weaving networks.Entendiendo la necesidad de comprender cada vez más la educación integral como una modalidad de enseñanza que, a pesar de ser discutida desde finales del siglo pasado, todavía trae algunas dudas sobre su caracterización, este estudio tiene como objetivo hacer un análisis documental cualitativo de la propuesta curricular del Polo Escolar Municipal de Educación Integrada (EMPOEINT), ubicado en la ciudad de Belo Horizonte, en Minas Gerais. La propuesta de la escuela sitúa al sujeto como punto de partida y, por tanto, pretende su formación integral. En este sentido, la noción de educación integral se convierte en un punto central en la propuesta curricular del EMPOEINT y puede ser un buen ejemplo para ayudar a clarificar aspectos nebulosos de esta comprensión antes mencionada. En este sentido, se realizó un estudio cualitativo, de tipo documental, en el que se analizaron los documentos que rigen la educación nacional, con el fin de construir un recorte sobre la educación integral en el país y después, el Proyecto Político Pedagógico de la escuela, aportando un análisis interpretativo-descriptivo para destacar rasgos singulares de la propuesta curricular de la escuela en cuestión, el currículum-mandala. A partir del análisis, se cree que el currículo-mandala permite al alumno encontrar en la escuela un pasaje, un camino interminable de construcción y deconstrucción del conocimiento, tomando como método el movimiento traído en el título de este trabajo: derribar muros, tejer redes.Entendendo a necessidade de cada ver mais compreender a educação integral como uma modalidade de ensino que, mesmo sendo discutida desde o final do século passado, ainda traz algumas dúvidas quanto a sua caracterização, esse estudo tem por objetivo fazer uma análise qualitativa documental da proposta curricular da Escola Municipal Polo de Educação Integrada (EMPOEINT), situada no município de Belo Horizonte, em Minas Gerais. A proposta da escola coloca como ponto de partida o sujeito e, sendo assim, mira na sua formação integral. Nessa direção, a noção de educação integral torna-se um ponto fulcral da proposta curricular da EMPOEINT e pode ser um bom exemplo para auxiliar a clarear aspectos nebulosos desse entendimento citado anteriormente. Nesse sentido, foi realizado um estudo qualitativo, do tipo documental, em que foram analisados documentos que regem a educação nacional, no sentido de construir um recorte sobre a educação integral no país e após, o Projeto Político Pedagógico da escola, trazendo uma análise interpretativo-descritiva para ressaltar características únicas da proposta curricular da escola em questão, o currículo-mandala.
