Language and Education: A new look at communicability between the deaf and hearing from the philosophical Hermeneutical perspective of H.-G. Gadamer

Resumo: | This research sought to carry out a study on the relationship between language and education and its implications for the communicability of deaf and hearing people based on the works “Truth and Method I” and “Truth and Method II” by Hans-Georg Gadamer. The objective of the research is to establish a new horizon of communication between deaf and hearing people based on Gadamerian theory, in order to contribute to the education and inclusion of deaf individuals in school and society. The development of the work was divided into 6 topics. In the first 4 topics, issues related to the deaf subject were addressed, with the aim of informing the reader about the peculiarities that involve this subject, such as their identity, culture, mother tongue, as well as some notes on special education and school inclusion. In the fifth and sixth topics, Gadamerian theory was discussed from a hermeneutic philosophical perspective of language. To this end, the bibliographical research method was used, through the works of Gadamer and commentators of this main author of philosophical hermeneutics. It was possible to relate the themes of education and language with the education of deaf people, as well as establishing a new perspective on communicability between deaf and hearing people in search of a common horizon of understanding. It was concluded that it is possible to establish communicability between deaf and hearing people, not based on their differences, but on their identity. Hermeneutics, as the art of interpreting and understanding, presents us through language with various possibilities of communication and understanding, requiring us to think about our prejudices, overcome our fears in order to seek the other exactly as he is, that is, a human like us. |

El objetivo de la investigación es establecer un nuevo horizonte de comunicación entre personas sordas y oyentes basado en la teoría gadameriana, con el fin de contribuir a la educación e inclusión de las personas sordas en la escuela y la sociedad. El desarrollo del trabajo se dividió en 6 temas. En los primeros 4 temas se abordaron temas relacionados con el sujeto sordo, con el objetivo de informar al lector sobre las particularidades que involucran a este sujeto, como su identidad, cultura, lengua materna, así como algunos apuntes sobre educación especial y escolar. inclusión. En los temas quinto y sexto se discutió la teoría gadameriana desde una perspectiva filosófica hermenéutica del lenguaje. Para ello se utilizó el método de investigación bibliográfica, a través de las obras de Gadamer y comentaristas de este principal autor de la hermenéutica filosófica. Se logró relacionar los temas de educación y lenguaje con la educación de las personas sordas, así como establecer una nueva perspectiva sobre la comunicabilidad entre personas sordas y oyentes en busca de un horizonte común de comprensión. Se concluyó que es posible establecer comunicabilidad entre personas sordas y oyentes, no a partir de sus diferencias, sino de su identidad. La hermenéutica, como arte de interpretar y comprender, nos presenta a través del lenguaje diversas posibilidades de comunicación y comprensión, exigiéndonos reflexionar sobre nuestros prejuicios, superar nuestros miedos para buscar al otro tal como es, es decir, un ser humano a nosotros.A presente pesquisa buscou realizar um estudo sobre a relação entre linguagem e educação e suas implicações na comunicabilidade de surdos e ouvintes a partir das obras “Verdade e método I” e “Verdade e método II” de Hans-Georg Gadamer. O objetivo da pesquisa é estabelecer um novo horizonte de comunicação entre surdos e ouvintes a partir da teoria gadameriana, a fim de contribuir para a educação e inclusão do sujeito surdo na escola e na sociedade. O desenvolvimento do trabalho foi dividido em 6 tópicos. Nos primeiros 4 tópicos foram abordados questões relacionadas ao sujeito surdo, com o objetivo de situar o leitor sobre as peculiaridades que envolvem esse sujeito, como sua identidade, cultura, língua materna, bem como, alguns apontamentos sobre a educação especial e a inclusão escolar. No quinto e sexto tópicos foram discutidos a teoria gadameriana sob uma perspectiva filosófica hermenêutica da linguagem. Para tanto, utilizou-se o método de pesquisa bibliográfica, através das obras de Gadamer e comentadores deste autor principal da hermenêutica filosófica. Foi possível relacionar os temas educação e linguagem com a educação de surdos, bem como estabelecer um novo olhar na comunicabilidade entre surdos e ouvintes em busca de um horizonte comum de compreensão. Concluiu-se que é possível sim estabelecer uma comunicabilidade entre surdos e ouvintes, não calcada em suas diferenças, mas em sua identidade.
