How the emergency teaching adopted during the Covid-19 pandemic worked for nursing graduates

Resumo: The Covid-19 pandemic triggered several changes in the socioeconomic, political and educational fields. Nursing graduates, in turn, felt these impacts in the process of their professional training. Objective: to describe and analyze how students experienced their training process during remote and hybrid teaching in the pandemic context. Method: this is a qualitative, descriptive study, carried out with undergraduate nursing students at a federal university, who experienced emergency teaching during the Covid-19 pandemic. The data collection instrument was a form created on the Google Forms platform, with open and closed questions. Content analysis of the results was carried out. Results: 80 undergraduate nursing students participated in the research. Positive and negative points of the emergency teaching adopted during the Covid-19 pandemic were highlighted. However, remote and hybrid teaching was understood as a necessary teaching strategy for the occasion. Final considerations: emergency teaching adopted during the Covid-19 pandemic, although necessary, demonstrated many limitations in the teaching-learning process, which requires reflection on the different training modalities in higher education.

Los graduados en enfermería, a su vez, sintieron estos impactos en el proceso de su formación profesional. Objetivo: describir y analizar cómo los estudiantes vivieron su proceso de formación durante la enseñanza remota e híbrida en el contexto de pandemia. Método: se trata de un estudio cualitativo, descriptivo, realizado con estudiantes de pregrado en enfermería de una universidad federal, que vivieron la docencia de emergencia durante la pandemia de Covid-19. El instrumento de recolección de datos fue un formulario creado en la plataforma Google Forms, con preguntas abiertas y cerradas. Se realizó un análisis de contenido de los resultados. Resultados: Participaron de la investigación 80 estudiantes de graduación en enfermería. Se destacaron los puntos positivos y negativos de la enseñanza de emergencia adoptada durante la pandemia de Covid-19. Sin embargo, la docencia remota e híbrida se entendió como una estrategia docente necesaria para la ocasión. Consideraciones finales: la enseñanza de emergencia adoptada durante la pandemia de Covid-19, aunque necesaria, demostró muchas limitaciones en el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje, lo que requiere una reflexión sobre las diferentes modalidades de formación en la educación superior.A pandemia Covid-19 desencadeou várias mudanças no campo socioeconômico, político e educacional. Os graduandos em enfermagem, por sua vez, sentiram esses impactos no processo da sua formação profissional. Objetivo: descrever e analisar como os alunos vivenciaram o seu processo de formação durante o ensino remoto e o híbrido no contexto pandêmico. Método: trata-se de um estudo qualitativo do tipo descritivo, realizado com alunas(os) do curso de graduação em enfermagem de uma universidade federal, que vivenciaram o ensino emergencial durante a pandemia da Covid-19. O instrumento de coleta de dados foi um formulário elaborado na plataforma Google Forms, com perguntas abertas e fechadas. Foi realizada análise de conteúdo dos resultados. Resultados: participaram da pesquisa 80 alunas(os) do curso de graduação em enfermagem. Foram apontados pontos positivos e negativos do ensino emergencial adotado durante a pandemia da Covid-19. Contudo, entendeu-se o ensino remoto e híbrido como estratégia de ensino necessária para a ocasião.
