Astronomical phenomena: a teaching proposal

Resumo: In this article we address the process of preparing a pedagogical book with contemporary content in Astronomy. Our objective with this elaboration was to systematize a path that can serve as inspiration for other similar or close elaborations. This book can be used as a pedagogical resource for teachers of Science in Elementary Education. Some specific topics were chosen to structure this book, among which we highlight: phenomena observed on Earth and occurring in the Universe; use of units of astronomical measurements such as Light Year and Astronomical Unit (AU); conventions related to the notions of up and down. The book is organized in four chapters: Solar System, in which we characterize each of the bodies found in it; Eclipse, which guides the exploration of the phenomenon beyond what we have on our planet; Seasons, also considering the climate of the other planets in the Solar System; Storms, passing through the climate again, but relating Earth's storms to those of other planets and ending with the greenhouse effect and global warming. This book was prepared considering data collected from the doubts about astronomy of graduates of Biological Sciences, Physics and Chemistry courses. In this book we also elaborated and applied ‘teaching modules’ addressing the shortcomings in the content pointed out by these students.

Nuestro objetivo con esta elaboración fue sistematizar un camino que pueda servir de inspiración para otras elaboraciones similares o cercanas. Este libro puede ser utilizado como un recurso pedagógico para profesores de ciencias de la escuela primaria. Se eligieron algunos temas específicos para la estructuración de este libro, entre ellos destacamos: fenómenos observados en la Tierra y que ocurren en el Universo; uso de unidades de medida astronómicas como el año luz y la unidad astronómica (UA); convenciones relacionadas con las nociones de arriba y abajo. El libro se organiza entonces en cuatro capítulos: Sistema Solar, en el que caracterizamos cada uno de los cuerpos que se encuentran en él; Eclipse, que orienta la exploración del fenómeno más allá de lo que se encuentra en nuestro planeta; Estaciones del año, considerando también el clima de los demás planetas del Sistema Solar; Las tormentas, pasando de nuevo por el clima, pero enlazando las tormentas de la Tierra con la de otros planetas y acabando con el efecto invernadero y el calentamiento global. Este libro fue elaborado considerando los datos recogidos de las dudas sobre Astronomía de los estudiantes de grado de las carreras de Ciencias Biológicas, Física y Química. En este libro, también elaboramos y aplicamos 'módulos de enseñanza' que abordan la falta de contenido señalada por los estudiantes universitarios.Neste artigo discutimos o processo de elaboração de um livro pedagógico com conteúdos contemporâneos em Astronomia. Nosso objetivo com esta elaboração foi o de sistematizar um caminho que possa servir de inspiração para outras elaborações similares ou próximas. Esse livro poderá ser utilizado como recurso pedagógico para professores de Ciências do Ensino Fundamental. Alguns tópicos específicos foram eleitos para a estruturação do livro, dentre eles destacamos: fenômenos observados na Terra e que ocorrem no Universo; uso de unidades de medidas astronômicas como Ano-luz e Unidade Astronômica (UA); convenções relacionadas às noções de para cima e para baixo. O livro é então organizado em quatro capítulos: Sistema Solar, em que caracterizamos cada um dos corpos nele encontrados; Eclipse, que orienta a exploração do fenômeno para além do que se tem no nosso planeta; Estações do ano, considerando também o clima dos demais planetas do Sistema Solar; Tempestades, passando novamente pelo clima, mas relacionando as tempestades da Terra com a de outros planetas; e finalizando com o efeito estufa e o aquecimento global. Esse livro foi elaborado considerando-se dados coletados a partir das dúvidas sobre Astronomia de licenciandos de cursos de Ciências Biológicas, Física e Química.
