Participation in the Student Committee at the Brazilian Nursing Association: experience report

Resumo: Objective: To report the experience of the participation of active and inactive members of the Student Committee in the Brazilian Nursing Association- Rio de Janeiro section (COEST ABEn-RJ). Method: This is a reflective study using an experience report, developed by a former member and current member of COEST-ABen-RJ. Result and discussion: Participating in a representative Student Movement of Nursing is to understand and analyze the entire context of ideas in which a particular group is inserted. COEST is the most efficient means of communication between nursing students of all levels and ABEn RJ. The realization of scientific events by the student fosters the scenario of academic production and generates discussions and visibility on the subject. Final considerations: It is understood that COEST is an instrument for truly transformative changes, where the object, in this case, the focus of attention, nursing students, when receiving interventions, produces questions and reflections for the benefit of the profession. The preservation of this space for the process of incorporation of the newly graduated student in the professional scope and its implications in the practices of nursing practice in relation to the type of knowledge aggregated not only at COEST, but at the nursing school is irrefutable.

Método: Se trata de un estudio reflexivo utilizando relato de experiencia, desarrollado por un ex miembro y actual miembro del COEST-ABen-RJ. Resultado y discusión: Participar de un Movimiento Estudiantil de Enfermería representativo es comprender y analizar todo el contexto de ideas en el que se inserta un determinado grupo. COEST es el medio de comunicación más eficiente entre los estudiantes de enfermería de todos los niveles y ABEn RJ. La realización de eventos científicos por parte de los estudiantes favorece el escenario de producción académica y genera discusiones y visibilidad sobre el tema. Consideraciones finales: Se entiende que el COEST es un instrumento de cambios verdaderamente transformadores, donde el objeto, en este caso el foco de atención, los estudiantes de enfermería, al recibir intervenciones, produce interrogantes y reflexiones en beneficio de la profesión. Es irrefutable la preservación de ese espacio para el proceso de incorporación del recién graduado en el ámbito profesional y sus implicaciones en las prácticas de la práctica de enfermería en relación al tipo de saberes agregados no sólo en el COEST, sino en la escuela de enfermería.Objetivo: Relatar a experiência da participação de membros ativos e inativos do Comitê Estudantil na Associação Brasileira de Enfermagem-seção Rio de Janeiro (COEST ABEn-RJ). Método: Trata-se de um estudo reflexivo utilizando-se de relato de experiência, desenvolvido por um ex-integrante e integrante atual do COEST- ABen-RJ. Resultado e discussão: Participar de um Movimento Estudantil representativo da Enfermagem é entender e analisar todo o contexto de ideias no qual determinado grupo está inserido. O COEST é o meio de comunicação mais eficiente entre os estudantes de enfermagem de todos os níveis e a ABEn RJ. A realização de eventos de caráter científico pelo estudante fomenta o cenário de produção acadêmica e gera discussões e visibilidade sobre o assunto. Considerações finais: Entende-se que o COEST é um instrumento para modificações verdadeiramente transformadoras, onde o objeto, no caso, o foco da atenção, os estudantes de enfermagem, ao receberem intervenções produzem e retornam para o benefício da profissão questionamentos e reflexões.
