Botany teaching-learning the view of students of community courses for college entrance examination in Itajubá - MG

Resumo: Botany teaching is debated as a challenge to Biology teachers. Considered a very theoretical approach, Botany is considered a content that is difficult for students to assimilate. The fact is worrying, because in addition to being part of the test in the entrance exams, it is understood the importance of their knowledge in the critical formation of a citizen about their environmental perception. The objective of this study was to evaluate the students' point of view enrolled in community courses for college entrance examination in Itajubá - MG on the teaching-learning of Botany. The approach adopted to carry out this study was quantitative and qualitative research and the investigation instrument was a questionnaire created using the Google Forms tool. This questionnaire was answered anonymously by 54 students from courses for college entrance examination: Cursinho Assistencial e Centro de Inteligência e Cultura (CACIC), Curso Assistencial Theodomiro Santiago (CATS) and Curso Assistencial Amigos de Itajubá (CAAI), from February 1 to 20, 2021. Although most students are curious about plants, many also declared difficulties in learning the contents of Botany, reflecting a theoretical and content teaching. The students' view shows the need to make teaching botany more practical and familiar with everyone's daily life.

Considerada como un enfoque muy teórico, la Botánica está indicada como un contenido de difícil asimilación por parte de los estudiantes. El hecho es preocupante porque, demás de formar parte de los temas de las pruebas de acceso a la universidad, la importancia de su conocimiento se entiende en la formación crítica de un ciudadano en relación a su percepción ambiental. El objetivo de este estudio fue evaluar el punto de vista de los estudiantes matriculados en los cursos de prueba de acceso preuniversitario en Itajubá - MG, sobre la enseñanza-aprendizaje de la Botánica. El enfoque adoptado para la realización de este estudio fue la investigación cuantitativa y cualitativa y el instrumento de investigación fue un cuestionario elaborado con la herramienta Google Forms. Este cuestionario fue respondido de forma anónima por 54 estudiantes de exámenes de ingreso preuniversitarios: Cursinho Assistencial e Centro de Inteligência e Cultura (CACIC), Curso Assistencial Theodomiro Santiago (CATS) y Curso Assistencial Amigos de Itajubá (CAAI), del 1 al 20 de febrero de 2021. Aunque la mayoría de los estudiantes sienten curiosidad por las plantas, muchos también declararon dificultades para aprender los contenidos de Botánica, lo que refleja la enseñanza teórica y de contenidos. La visión de los estudiantes muestra la necesidad de hacer que la enseñanza de la Botánica sea más práctica y familiar con la vida diaria de todos.O ensino de Botânica é debatido como um desafio aos professores de Biologia. Considerada uma abordagem muito teórica, a Botânica é apontada como um conteúdo de difícil assimilação pelos estudantes. O fato é preocupante, pois além de fazer parte dos temas de provas nos vestibulares, entende-se a importância do seu conhecimento na formação crítica de um cidadão em relação a sua percepção ambiental. Objetivou-se, com o presente estudo, avaliar o ponto de vista dos estudantes, matriculados nos cursinhos pré-vestibulares assistenciais de Itajubá - MG, sobre o ensino-aprendizagem de Botânica. A abordagem adotada para a realização deste estudo foi a pesquisa quanti-qualitativa e o instrumento de investigação foi um questionário criado através da ferramenta Google Forms. Esse questionário foi respondido de forma anônima por 54 estudantes dos cursos pré-vestibulares: Cursinho Assistencial e Centro de Inteligência e Cultura (CACIC), Curso Assistencial Theodomiro Santiago (CATS) e Curso Assistencial Amigos de Itajubá (CAAI), no período de 01 a 20 de fevereiro de 2021. Apesar de grande parte dos estudantes ter curiosidade sobre as plantas, muitos também declararam dificuldades na aprendizagem dos conteúdos de Botânica, sendo reflexo de um ensino teórico e conteudista.
