From magic to imagination: the use of fairy tales by the Occupational Therapist

Resumo: Cancer is its invasive disease and causes a people's life and a people's life. A multiprofessional experience of interruption is necessary, where hospitalization is part, generating an experience of family rupture, providing preliminaries of their family and social interruption process, invasive interventions, in addition to pain. The general objective of this research was to understand the use of fairy tales as a therapeutic resource by the occupational therapist objective, with children and adults hospitalized for cancer treatment. Specific objectives: to identify, during the meetings, the stories of meaning, expressed through reports and/or expressive painting activity; to compare the differences in behavior and similarities in behavior in the meanings brought by and by adults in relation to fairy tales and possible in the same ones during the activity. This is an experience report, within a Hospital in Sergipe for cancer treatment, where meetings were held, in which the activities used fairy tales and expressive. Patients can be seen to make a significant contribution to the occupational therapist using fairy tales, highlighting sick subjects not only as active, but active, reactive beings, who have needs and dreams, in addition to a life story that can be considered. The main difference between children and adults was what children brought in the drawings and correlated the elements of the story that most caught their attention, while adolescents and adults correlated their lives with that tale.

Es necesaria una experiencia multiprofesional de interrupción, donde la hospitalización sea parte, generando una experiencia de ruptura familiar, brindando preliminares de su proceso de interrupción familiar y social, intervenciones invasivas, además del dolor. El objetivo general de esta investigación fue comprender el uso de los cuentos de hadas como recurso terapéutico para el propósito del terapeuta ocupacional, con niños y adultos hospitalizados para el tratamiento del cáncer. Objetivos específicos: identificar, durante los encuentros, las historias de sentido, expresadas a través de relatos y/o actividad de pintura expresiva; comparar las diferencias de comportamiento y las similitudes de comportamiento en los significados traídos por y por los adultos en relación a los cuentos de hadas y posibles en ellos durante la actividad. Este es un relato de experiencia, dentro de un Hospital en Sergipe para el tratamiento del cáncer, donde se realizaron reuniones, en las que las actividades utilizaron cuentos de hadas y expresiva. Los pacientes pueden ser vistos como una contribución significativa para el terapeuta ocupacional a través de los cuentos de hadas, destacando a los sujetos enfermos no solo como seres activos, sino activos, reactivos, que tienen necesidades y sueños, además de una historia de vida que puede ser considerada. La principal diferencia entre niños y adultos fue lo que los niños traían en los dibujos y correlacionaban los elementos del cuento que más les llamaban la atención, mientras que los adolescentes y los adultos correlacionaban su vida con ese cuento.O câncer é uma doença invasiva e causadora de limitações na vida das pessoas e de seus familiares. É necessária uma assistência multiprofissional, onde a hospitalização faz parte desse processo, gerando uma experiência de ruptura na rotina, afastamento temporário de seu convívio familiar e social, intervenções invasivas, além de dor. O objetivo geral desta pesquisa foi compreender o uso dos contos de fadas como recurso terapêutico pelo terapeuta ocupacional, com crianças e adultos hospitalizados para tratamento oncológico. Objetivos específicos: identificar durante os encontros os significados que os contos de fadas produzem, expresso por meio de relatos e/ou atividade expressiva de pintura; comparar as diferenças e semelhanças nos significados trazidos pelas crianças e pelos adultos com relação aos contos de fadas e verificar possíveis mudanças no comportamento dos mesmos durante a realização da atividade. Esta pesquisa trata-se de um relato de experiência, dentro de um Hospital de Sergipe para tratamento oncológico, onde foram realizados três encontros, nos quais se utilizou dos contos de fadas e atividades expressivas. Pode-se perceber a contribuição de forma significativa do terapeuta ocupacional utilizando dos contos de fadas, destacando os sujeitos enfermos não apenas como pacientes passivos, mas seres ativos, reativos, que possuem esperanças e sonhos, além de uma história de vida que precisa ser considerada.
