Transformations in the labor market and the Brazilian experience after labor reform of 2017

Resumo: The reconfiguration of capitalism, in a context of strengthening its financial dimension and progress towards greater flexibility in labor relations and regulation, has led to significant changes in the organization of work and the dynamics of the labor market. In this sense, the article seeks to present some reflections on the impacts of the transformations of contemporary capitalism to the world of work, bringing to the debate the recent Brazilian experience after de Labor Reform of 2017. Some data will be explored to show the flow of hiring and dismissing of workers. The data are available in the General Register of Employed and Unemployed - CAGED of the Ministry of Labor. The main conclusion is that the implemented Labor Reform was not able to provide a recovery of the labor market. It is necessary to point out that the solution to the problems of employment and income is linked to the increase in economic activity and its association with regulatory mechanisms that protect and do not withdraw workers' rights.

En este sentido, el artículo busca presentar algunas reflexiones sobre los impactos de las transformaciones del capitalismo contemporáneo para el mundo del trabajo, trayendo para el debate la experiencia reciente brasileña a partir de la entrada en vigor de la Reforma Laboral de 2017. Para ello, se explorarán los datos en relación con el flujo de contrataciones disponibles en el Catastro General de Empleados y Desocupados - CAGED del Ministerio de Trabajo. La principal conclusión es que la Reforma Laboral implementada no se mostró capaz de proporcionar una recuperación del mercado de trabajo. Lo que se pretende evidenciar es que la solución a los problemas del empleo y del ingreso pasa por la elevación de la actividad económica asociada a mecanismos de regulación que protejan y no retiren derechos de los trabajadores.O movimento de reconfiguração do capitalismo, em um contexto de fortalecimento de sua dimensão financeira e dos avanços em direção a uma maior flexibilização das relações e da regulação do trabalho, tem provocado mudanças significativas sobre o mundo do trabalho, especialmente quanto à sua organização e sua dinâmica. Nesse sentido, o artigo procura apresentar algumas reflexões sobre os impactos das transformações do capitalismo contemporâneo para o mundo do trabalho, trazendo para o debate a experiência recente brasileira a partir da entrada em vigor da Reforma Trabalhista de 2017. Para tanto, serão explorados os dados referentes ao fluxo de contratações disponíveis no Cadastro Geral de Empregados e Desempregados – CAGED do Ministério do Trabalho. A principal conclusão é que a Reforma Trabalhista implementada não se mostrou capaz de proporcionar uma recuperação do mercado de trabalho.
