Workshop with comics for sixth year of elementary school students: imagetic language in the formation of readers

Resumo: | In the view of the concern about the focus given to the reading of the texts imagery, the aim was to understand how comics (HQ’s) are able to provide opportunities for student this learning. HQ’s can be considered dialogical and polyphonic texts with great imagery appeal arousing interest in reading. To achieve this objective, a workshop entitled “The Imagetic Reading of Comics”. Action research was adopted in public elementary school classes, in which the researcher acted as a mediator and facilitator of reading comprehension. It was found how the didactic aspect given to HQ’s could contribute to the understanding of imagetic texts and non-verbal language. A practice of reading HQ’s with defined strategies, allow or educate to find the appropriate tools to understand or imagetic text. Given the above, it is believed that this research contributes to encourage the educator to found this or other tools for reading autonomy of images, so that students are able to understand imagetic texts. |

Los cómics pueden considerarse textos dialógicos y polifónicos con un gran atractivo de imágenes, lo que despierta interés en la lectura. Para lograr este objetivo, se creó un taller titulado "La Lectura de Imágenes de Los Cómics". La investigación de acción se adoptó en las clases de la escuela primaria pública en el que el investigador actuó como mediador y facilitador de la comprensión lectora. Se descubrió cómo el aspecto didáctico dado a los cómics puede contribuir a la comprensión de los textos de imágenes y el lenguaje no verbal. La práctica de leer cómics con estrategias bien definidas permite al alumno encontrar las herramientas adecuadas para comprender el texto de las imágenes. Dado lo anterior, se cree que esta investigación contribuye a alentar al educador a buscar esta u otras herramientas para leer la autonomía de las imágenes, de modo que los estudiantes puedan comprender textos de las imágenes.Em vista da inquietude a respeito do enfoque dado à leitura imagética dos textos, objetivou-se compreender como as histórias em quadrinhos (HQ’s) são capazes de oportunizar ao educando esse aprendizado. As HQ’s podem ser consideradas textos dialógicos e polifônicos com grande apelo imagético despertando o interesse pela leitura. Para alcançar esse objetivo foi elaborada uma oficina intitulada “A leitura imagética das HQ’s”. Adotou-se no delineamento a pesquisa-ação em turmas do Ensino Fundamental público, na qual a pesquisadora atuou como mediadora e facilitadora da compreensão leitora. Constatou-se como o aspecto didático dado aos HQ’s, pode contribuir para a compreensão de textos imagéticos e linguagem não verbal. A prática da leitura das HQ’s com estratégias bem definidas permitem ao educando encontrar as ferramentas adequadas para compreender o texto imagético.
