Resumo: Objective: Analyze the perception of students from an undergraduate course in Physical Education of a public university in Brazil on the implementation of the Sport Education Model (SEM) during the teaching and learning process in the scope of team sports. Methods: Based on a qualitative research of interventional nature, the results generated from the interviews, images from the practical activities and field journal – evaluated through a content analysis Results: Highlight that the use of SEM as a possibility for students to understand the teaching and learning process in the scope of team sports produced actions of cooperation and development of a sense of collective belonging during the classes. Conclusions: The process of intervention based on the SEM demonstrated to have contributed significantly to enlarge the learning experience of the students in the environment of team sports, thus promoting a reflection on the actions performed and greater independence during class.

Conclusions: The process of intervention based on the SEM demonstrated to have contributed significantly to enlarge the learning experience of the students in the environment of team sports, thus promoting a reflection on the actions performed and greater independence during class.Objetivo: Analizar la percepción de estudiantes de un curso de Licenciatura en Educación Física de una universidad pública de Brasil sobre la implementación del Modelo de Educación Deportiva (SEM) durante el proceso de enseñanza y aprendizaje en el ámbito de los deportes de equipo.  Métodos: Con el respaldo de una investigación cualitativa de carácter intervencionista, los resultados generados a partir de las entrevistas, las imágenes de las actividades y el diario de campo, evaluadas mediante un análisis de contenido, resaltan que el uso de SEM. Resultados: Una posibilidad para que los estudiantes entiendan el proceso de enseñanza y aprendizaje de los deportes de equipo produjo acciones de cooperación y desarrollo de un sentido de pertenencia colectiva durante las clases. Conclusiones: El proceso de intervención basado en el SEM demostró haber contribuido significativamente a la expansión de la experiencia de enseñar estudiantes en el entorno de los deportes de equipo, promoviendo así una reflexión sobre las acciones realizadas y una mayor autonomía en las clases.Objetivo: Analisar a percepção de estudantes de um curso de Licenciatura em Educação Física, de uma universidade pública do Brasil, sobre a implementação do Sport Education Model (SEM) durante o processo de ensino e aprendizagem dos esportes coletivos. Métodos: Sustentada por uma pesquisa qualitativa de natureza interventiva, os resultados evidenciados nas entrevistas, imagens capturadas durante as atividades e diário de campo, interpretados por meio da análise de conteúdo. Resultados: A utilização do SEM é uma possibilidade para a compreensão do processo de ensino e aprendizagem dos esportes coletivos pelos estudantes na formação inicial, construindo ações de cooperação e de desenvolvimento do sentimento de afiliação no decorrer das aulas.
