Vygotskyan analysis of the evolution of electromagnetic concept

Resumo: | The aim of this work is to present an analysis of the historical evolution of the initial physical concepts of Electromagnetism, creating a bridge between this branch of Science and the development of learning in the Vygotskian view. This is a bibliographic survey, supported by citations extracted from primary sources of Vygostsky's work. We present an overview of the first developments in Electricity and Magnetism, pointing out the use of models extracted from experiences and concepts already internalized as a fundamental mechanism for the construction of new representations of scientific phenomena. This approach allows us to identify a process of widening and gradually adapting the knowledge constructed by the learner, and the influence of historical and cultural factors, very characteristic of Vygostsky's pedagogical conception. Thus, we identified that the cognitive processes that govern the individual's learning are reproduced, in an analogous way, in the collective sphere of scientific development. |

Este es un estudio bibliográfico, respaldado por citas extraídas de fuentes primarias en el trabajo de Vygostsky. Presentamos una panorámica de los primeros desarrollos en electricidad y magnetismo, señalando el uso de modelos extraídos de experiencias y conceptos ya internalizados como mecanismo fundamental para la construcción de nuevas representaciones de fenómenos científicos. Este enfoque nos permite identificar un proceso de ampliación y adaptación paulatina del conocimiento construido por el aprendiz, y la influencia de factores históricos y culturales, muy característicos de la concepción pedagógica de Vygostsky. Así, identificamos que los procesos cognitivos que rigen el aprendizaje del individuo se reproducen, de manera análoga, en el ámbito colectivo del desarrollo científico.O objetivo desse trabalho é apresentar uma análise da evolução histórica dos conceitos físicos iniciais do eletromagnetismo, criando uma ponte com a desenvolvimento da aprendizagem na visão vygotskyana. Trata-se de um estudo de natureza bibliográfica, com apoio de citações extraídas de fontes primárias da obra de Vygostsky. Apresentamos um panorama dos primeiros desenvolvimentos da eletricidade e do magnetismo, apontando a utilização de modelos extraídos de experiências e concepções já internalizadas como um mecanismo fundamental para a construção de novas representações dos fenômenos científicos. Essa abordagem nos permite identificara um processo de alargamento e adaptação gradativa dos conhecimentos construídos por quem aprende, e a influência de fatores históricos e culturais, muito característicos da concepção pedagógica de Vygostsky.
