Scientific Literacy Indications during an Investigative Teaching Sequence in a Science Club

Summary: The Scientific Literacy (SL) must develop the individual's ability to organize a logical thinking, besides helping to build a critical consciousness about the world around them. Thereby, this text has a goal to analyze evidence of Scientific Literacy during an Investigative Teaching Sequence (ITS) held at a Science Club in the Amazon. The methodology has the qualitative approach with participant research characteristic. The results showed that it is possible to perceive signs of SL from an ITS activity in this space, for that, it turned to the theoretical framework to give meaning to the interpretation. Therefore, as a conclusion, it was possible to perceive that SL in many moments it’s close to ITS, since it related the seven stages of the process in a subjective way, inferring that during this process there were elements that allowed to relate to Scientific Literacy, mostly when it’s considered the promotion of argumentation as a determining element of this process.

Entonces, este texto tiene el objetivo analizar las pistas de la Alfabetización Científica en el curso de una Secuencia de Enseñanza de Investigación (SEI) ejecutada en un Club de Ciencias en la Amazonía. La metodología es de abordaje cualitativo con aspecto de investigación participante. Los resultados reveló que es posible percibir evidencia de AC a partir de una actividad desde SEI en este espacio, por eso, recurrió al marco teórico para dar sentido a la interpretación. En consecuencia, como conclusión, fue entendido que AC en muchos momentos se acerca de la SEI eso fue propuesto, ya que relacionado las siete etapas del proceso de manera subjetiva, infiriendo que durante este proceso hubo elementos que permitieron relacionarse con Alfabetización Científica principalmente cuando se considera la promoción de la argumentación como un elemento decisivo de este proceso.A Alfabetização Científica (AC) deve desenvolver a capacidade do indivíduo de organizar o pensamento de maneira lógica, além de auxiliar na construção de uma consciência mais crítica em relação ao mundo que o cerca. Assim, este texto tem o objetivo de analisar indícios da Alfabetização Científica durante uma Sequência de Ensino Investigativo (SEI) realizada em um Clube de Ciências na Amazônia.  A metodologia é de abordagem qualitativa com características de pesquisa participante. Os resultados mostraram que é possível perceber indícios de AC a partir de uma atividade de SEI neste espaço, para isso, voltou-se ao referencial teórico para dar sentido à interpretação.
