A proposal for teaching flat geometry in elementary school: mathematics present in students' daily lives

Resumo: | This work aimed to bring a brief outline of modern mathematics present in the textbooks of elementary school students, characterized by the evolution of mathematics teaching until today. As a proposal for teaching mathematics, a lesson plan was developed for the teaching of flat geometry for the final years of elementary school, which proposes the exhibition of objects of moments of students' daily lives. The proposal prioritizes uniting students in their daily lives with the teaching of mathematics, which many of them create barriers to, even before knowing the content. We understand that this experience provides interaction between students to carry out activities in the classroom, in addition to understanding the importance of working with different approaches for teaching geometric content. |

Como propuesta para la enseñanza de las matemáticas, se desarrolló un plan de lecciones para la enseñanza de la geometría plana para los últimos años de la escuela primaria, que propone la exhibición de objetos de momentos de la vida cotidiana de los estudiantes. La propuesta prioriza unir a los estudiantes en su vida diaria con la enseñanza de las matemáticas, a lo que muchos de ellos crean barreras, incluso antes de conocer el contenido. Entendemos que esta experiencia proporciona interacción entre los estudiantes para llevar a cabo actividades en el aula, además de comprender la importancia de trabajar con diferentes enfoques para enseñar contenido geométrico.Este trabalho teve como objetivo trazer um breve recorte da matemática moderna presente nos livros didáticos dos estudantes do ensino fundamental, caracterizados pela evolução do ensino da matemática até os dias de hoje. Como proposta de ensino de matemática, foi desenvolvido um plano de aula voltado para o ensino de geometria plana para os anos finais do ensino fundamental, que propõe a exposição de objetos de momentos do dia a dia dos estudantes. A proposta prioriza unir os estudantes em seu cotidiano com o ensino da matemática, o qual muitos deles criam barreiras, até mesmo antes de conhecer o conteúdo.
