Resumo: | This work is an exploratory study with the objective of mapping and interpreting some Teachers Representations on Science and Scientific Education. With a qualitative approach, through interviews, it was made a research with some teachers of Natural Sciences from a Public Educational Institution in the Midwest of Minas Gerais. The methodology used in the interpretation of the data collected was Content Analysis. Although it is an exploratory study, the result of the research indicates that the renewal in Science Education needs to occur based on reflections on questions of epistemology because these guide the understanding of scientific practice and Science Teaching. |

Con abordaje cualitativa, por medio de entrevistas, fue hecha una pesquisa con docentes de Ciencias Naturales de una institución publica de enseñanza del Centro-Oeste de Minas Gerais. La metodologia empleada en la interpretación de los datos colectados fué el Análisis de Contenido. Aunque sea un estudio exploratorio, el resultado de la pesquisa apunta que la renovación en la Educación Científica necesita ocurrir embasada en reflexiones acerca de cuestiones de epistemología, pues esas orientan la compreensión de la practica científica y de la Enseñanza de Ciencias.Este trabalho é um estudo exploratório com objetivo de mapear e interpretar algumas representações docentes acerca de Ciência e Educação Científica. Com abordagem qualitativa, por meio de entrevistas, foi feita uma pesquisa com alguns docentes de Ciências Naturais de uma instituição pública de ensino do Centro-Oeste de Minas Gerais. A metodologia empregada na interpretação dos dados coletados foi a Análise de Conteúdo.
