Nursing diagnoses for critical patients with COVID-19 in Intensive Care Unit: literature review

Resumo: Objective: To investigate the main nursing diagnoses related to critically ill patients with COVID-19 in an Intensive Care Unit. Methodology: Integrative review, the searches were carried out from February to November 2022 in the databases: LILACS, MEDLINE, BDENF, SciELO, BVS, Cochrane Library and Google Scholar. Forty-eight studies were selected for full reading, in which 34 were excluded because they did not correspond to the research objectives. Finally, the corpus of the review was composed of 14 articles. Results: 53 Nursing diagnoses were listed for critically ill patients with COVID-19 in THE ICU, the most prevalent evidenced in this review were: Deficit in self-care for food; Deficit in self-care for bathing; Ineffective breathing pattern; Risk of unstable blood glucose; Risk of infection; Risk of pressure injury; Impaired gas exchange and impaired spontaneous ventilation. Final Considerations: Nursing care based on the Nursing Process through the elaboration of nursing diagnoses, it favors an effective performance of nursing professionals, besides contributing to the critical analysis of the health conditions of the client.

Metodología: Revisión integradora, las búsquedas se realizaron de febrero a noviembre de 2022 en las bases de datos: LILACS, MEDLINE, BDENF, SciELO, BVS, Biblioteca Cochrane y Google Scholar. Se seleccionaron cuarenta y ocho estudios para lectura completa, en los cuales 34 fueron excluidos porque no correspondían a los objetivos de la investigación. Finalmente, el corpus de la revisión estuvo compuesto por 14 artículos. Resultados: Se enumeraron 53 diagnósticos de enfermería para pacientes críticos con COVID-19 en la UCI, los más prevalentes evidenciados en esta revisión fueron: Déficit en el autocuidado de los alimentos; Déficit en el autocuidado para el baño; Patrón de respiración ineficaz; Riesgo de glucosa en sangre inestable; Riesgo de infección; Riesgo de lesión por presión; Alteración del intercambio gaseoso y alteración de la ventilación espontánea. Consideraciones finales: Atención de enfermería basada en el Proceso de Enfermería a través de la elaboración de diagnósticos de enfermería, Favorece un desempeño efectivo de los profesionales de enfermería, además de contribuir para el análisis crítico de las condiciones de salud del cliente.Objetivo: Investigar os principais Diagnósticos de Enfermagem relacionados aos pacientes críticos com COVID-19 em Unidade de Terapia Intensiva. Metodologia: Revisão integrativa, as buscas foram realizadas nos meses de fevereiro a novembro de 2022 nas bases de dados: LILACS, MEDLINE, BDENF, SciELO, BVS, Cochrane Library e Google Acadêmico. Foram selecionados 48 estudos para leitura na integra, no qual foram excluídos 34, por não corresponderem aos objetivos da pesquisa. Por fim, o corpus da revisão foi composto por 14 artigos. Resultados: Foi elencado 53 Diagnósticos de Enfermagem para pacientes críticos com COVID-19 em UTI, os mais prevalentes evidenciado nesta revisão foram: Déficit no autocuidado para alimentação; Déficit no autocuidado para banho; Padrão respiratório ineficaz; Risco de glicemia instável; Risco de infecção; Risco de lesão por pressão; Troca de gases prejudicada e Ventilação espontânea prejudicada.
