Visual methods for project management seeks to replace the excess of text by visual elements that synthesize the essentials for the project, providing agility, dynamism, improved communication, among other benefits. This work proposes a visual project management model for law firms applied to planning lawsuit cases. The methodology used was divided into four stages, where the first presents a literature review of visual methods for project management with an emphasis on the Project Model Canvas (PMC), as well as related works. The second stage addresses the development of the visual model for planning legal cases, called Suit Model Canvas (SMC), by mapping the elements that are essential for planning these cases in relation to the PMC components, and following with the visual model elaboration. The third stage proposes the model application in a real case, and the last stage proposes the model evaluation through a research with lawyers. As a result, the proposed model was obtained and validated by a sample of 39 lawyers, who demonstrated great acceptance of the model, as 97% said they would use it in their legal cases. It is concluded that the model had a satisfactory acceptance by the target audience, therefore, it can brings benefits to lawyers with the improvement of legal cases planning, as well as contribute to the dissemination of concepts and project management practices in the legal area, expanding the knowledge and experience, which can provide new theories for the management advancement.
