Resumo: This paper analyzes social aspects of physical training – in other words, ways of educating the physique in distinct social environments – on the transition from the classic phase of the recent past to the social configurations that now exist. The idea will always focus on teachings and strategies concerning what constitutes the “healthy individual” and on interfaces that the theory presented has established or will establish with Physical Education.
