Resumo: In this interview, we are interested in addressing school education and teaching as a production of meanings. The present interview argues for an institutional “role”: the Municipal Secretary of Education, Science and Technology of Niterói, State of Rio de Janeiro, but does not lose sight of the person instituted in the position, who works in many sectors of the Education area, necessarily consonants. She is also a teacher; teacher and researcher trainer; woman in command; wife; citizen. We start from the assumption that what we describe as reality is a phenomenon produced by our intentionalities, such intentionalities are responses to the outside that constitutes, therefore, our production of existential senses or meanings, through rules, is always in tension with the world that fence. Thinking, building and executing educational public policies is a political exercise, understood with the art of living in the polis, of great complexity, necessarily conflicting, including in the intimacy of those who experience conflicting situations between self-interest and the institutional.

La presente entrevista argumenta a favor de un "rol" institucional: el Secretario Municipal de Educación, Ciencia y Tecnología de Niterói, Estado de Río de Janeiro, pero no pierde de vista a la persona instituida en el puesto, que trabaja en muchos sectores del área de Educación, necesariamente consonantes Ella también es maestra; formadora de profesores e investigadores; mujer al mando; esposa, ciudadana. Partimos de la suposición de que lo que describimos como realidad es un fenómeno producido por nuestras intencionalidades, tales intenciones son respuestas al exterior que constituyen, por lo tanto, nuestra producción de sentidos o significados existenciales, a través de reglas, siempre está en tensión con el mundo que nos rodea. Pensar, construir y ejecutar políticas públicas educativas es un ejercicio político, entendido con el arte de vivir en la polis, de gran complejidad, necesariamente conflictivo, incluso en la intimidad de quienes experimentan situaciones conflictivas entre el interés personal y el institucional.Nesta entrevista, interessa-nos abordar a educação escolar e o exercício do magistério como produção de sentidos. A presente entrevista argui um “papel” institucional: a Secretária Municipal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia de Niterói, Estado do Rio de Janeiro, mas não perde de vista a pessoa instituída no cargo, que milita em muitos setores da área da Educação, não necessariamente consoantes. É também professora; formadora de professores e de pesquisadores; mulher em posição de mando; esposa; cidadã. Partimos do pressuposto que aquilo que descrevemos como realidade é um fenômeno produzido por nossas intencionalidades, tais intencionalidades são respostas ao exterior que nos constitui, portanto, nossa produção de sentidos ou significados existenciais, via de regras, está sempre em tensão com o mundo que nos cerca.
