This research project is in development and it aims to discuss the problems concerning the children’s culture and theirs deconstruction due to the educational model, whose emphasis is in the preparation for the future. The playful is a common component of culture and can represent a way out for the children’s education, especially in the early years of education, this is because the playful unites its characteristics and needs. Thus, the objective of this research is to know the representations of childhood, since its emergence until the present, the importance of playfulness in the process of formation and development of children, and what is the role of the school education in the process of human development, considering that most children within the age range studied are treated as adult. This is a documentary research of qualitative nature, containing bibliographic research on games about, childhood, child, playful, human development, leisure, education and studies on the Law of Education Guidelines and Bases (1996). In addition, it was made a field research, based on participant observation. This activities are done in a school in the city of Bauru. The data were collected and analyzed , and it was found that children of three to six years not possess knowledge base of play and traditional games. The introduction of recreational activities at school had a satisfactory effect with the entry of other classes in the course of project development.
