Resumo: | Yoga is an ancient practice which in its essence is based on integrating body, mind and spirit. It can be used as part of physical education classes looking to work the ethical and moral precepts, postures, breath control and improve their concentration by specifics techniques. Hoping for better and different teaching strategies for Yoga classes for children, the development of an alternative method was necessary. This new form was the storytelling of children's stories, which can be used in a playful way, stimulating the imaginary field of students combined with what yoga has to offer. In this sense it became indispensable to search for a teaching strategy that would fit in educational perspective combined with mutual learning. The work developed by Professor Muska Mosston of Rutgers University - New Jersey- USA, was the strategy that is best suited to this study. In it, he proposed a theory of relationship between teacher and student (interaction), which was represented by a diagram, called Spectrum of teaching styles. Use up the teaching styles of Mosston (1990) drives and leads the teacher to a different and creative methodology, transforming, which is able to promote the growth of both the student and the teacher. The adaptations and apicantion of this storytelling method, it makes Yoga, more easily assimilated into the imaginary context for children. Through the journey to the fantastic world of children's stories is that they extend the learning opportunities, leaving it to flow by the imagination and releases its most sincere emotions |

Seu conteúdo pode ser utilizado em aulas de Educação Física procurando trabalhar os preceitos éticos e morais, as posturas, o controle respiratório e o conhecimento de técnicas de concentração. Na busca de melhores e diferentes estratégias de ensino para as aulas de Yoga para crianças, fez-se necessário obter uma forma alternativa para desenvolver esses conteúdos. Essa nova forma é a contação das histórias infantis, que podem ser utilizadas de maneira lúdica, estimulando o campo imaginário dos alunos aliadas ao conteúdo proposto pelo Yoga. Nesse sentido fez-se indispensável à busca por uma estratégia de ensino que se enquadrasse nas perspectivas de ensino aliado ao aprendizado mutuo. O trabalho desenvolvido pelo Professor Muska Mosston, da Rutgers University - New Jersey - USA, foi a estratégia que melhor se adequou a esse estudo. Nele, foi proposta uma teoria de relacionamento entre professor e aluno (interação), o qual foi representado através de um diagrama, denominado Spectrum dos estilos de ensino. Utilizar-se dos estilos de ensino de Mosston (1990) impulsiona e remete o professor a uma metodologia diferenciada e criativa, transformadora, capaz de promover o crescimento tanto do aluno quanto do professor. Adaptar e aplicar esse método dentro da contação de histórias faz com que o conteúdo do Yoga seja mais facilmente assimilado dentro do contexto imaginário para crianças.
