Resumo: Yoga is an ancient practice which in its essence is based on integrating body, mind and spirit. It can be used as part of physical education classes looking to work the ethical and moral precepts, postures, breath control and improve their concentration by specifics techniques. Hoping for better and different teaching strategies for Yoga classes for children, the development of an alternative method was necessary. This new form was the storytelling of children's stories, which can be used in a playful way, stimulating the imaginary field of students combined with what yoga has to offer. In this sense it became indispensable to search for a teaching strategy that would fit in educational perspective combined with mutual learning. The work developed by Professor Muska Mosston of Rutgers University - New Jersey- USA, was the strategy that is best suited to this study. In it, he proposed a theory of relationship between teacher and student (interaction), which was represented by a diagram, called Spectrum of teaching styles. Use up the teaching styles of Mosston (1990) drives and leads the teacher to a different and creative methodology, transforming, which is able to promote the growth of both the student and the teacher. The adaptations and apicantion of this storytelling method, it makes Yoga, more easily assimilated into the imaginary context for children. Through the journey to the fantastic world of children's stories is that they extend the learning opportunities, leaving it to flow by the imagination and releases its most sincere emotions

Through the journey to the fantastic world of children's stories is that they extend the learning opportunities, leaving it to flow by the imagination and releases its most sincere emotionsYoga(1) é uma prática milenar que em sua essência se baseia em integrar corpo, mente e espírito.
