Applicability of the investigative cycles in the early years of elementary education

Resumo: In this article, we present a research that had aimed to evaluate the possibilities of the application of a research cycle in the Elementary School. An investigative cycle is understood as a sequence of learning situations that allow students to define a research problem, to elaborate hypotheses, to construct arguments that allow the support of presuppositions and the communication of results. The study is characterized by an action research, in which the corpus was derived from the pedagogical documentation produced by a teacher of a public school located in Vale do Taquari/RS. It was noticed that the proposition of the investigative cycle was fruitful, since it favored the accomplishment of learning situations that excel by the autonomous search of information, exploration and experimentation, as well as contemplates in the pedagogical planning subjects that are of the children's interest.

Entende-se por ciclo investigativo uma sequência de situações de aprendizagem que permite aos estudantes a definição de um problema de pesquisa, a elaboração de hipóteses, a construção de argumentos que garantem a sustentação das pressuposições e a comunicação dos resultados. O estudo caracteriza-se por ser uma pesquisa-ação, em que o corpus foi decorrente da documentação pedagógica produzida por um professor dos Anos Iniciais de uma escola pública localizada no Vale do Taquari/RS, considerando a análise por meio de uma abordagem reflexiva.
