Resumo: It is discussed the elaboration and application of a protocol for collecting and analyzing ideas and concerns about Environmental Education (PCA-EA), analyzing whether subjects from a group of twenty graduates of a teacher training course for the initial years are adequately prepared for implement actions of Critical Environmental Education in the basic school. After analyzing the content of audio recordings of the interviews, it was possible to detect that the subjects' concerns and ideas are far below those recommended in official documents of the Ministry of Education or in recent research on the training of environmental educators. Finally, the value of the instrument and its usefulness in future research are discussed.

Após a análise de conteúdo de gravações em áudio das entrevistas, foi possível detectar que as preocupações e ideias dos referidos sujeitos estão muito aquém daquelas recomendadas em documentos oficiais do Ministério da Educação ou em pesquisas recentes sobre formação de educadores ambientais.
