TEXTUAL GENRE AND TEACHING PRATICE: A READING OF THE NATIONAL CURRICULUM PARAMETERS OF PORTUGUSE LANGUAGE FOR THE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

Resumo: This work discusses the teaching and the learning processes by the textualgenre theoretical perspective in the National Curriculum Parameters of PortugueseLanguage for the elementary school (BRASIL, 1999). For this, a speculative recover ispresented to establish a debate regarding textual genres and their implications to languagesteaching and learning, pointing out the importance of studies of this object. In addition, aparallel is realized between the document and the theoretical dimension discussed before,analyzing the considerations that the PCN’s done about these processes. As a final point,the importance of this approach is mentioned, suggesting a work with genres in theclassroom, according to the pedagogic model elaborated by Martin (1999), with thepurpose of stimulating and developing the critical participation of students in front oflanguage and society.

Para tanto, é apresentado um resgate teórico pormeio do qual é estabelecida uma discussão sobre gêneros textuais e suas implicações parao ensino e aprendizagem de Língua Portuguesa, ressaltando a importância de estudos emrelação a esse objeto. Além disso, é realizado um cotejo entre o referido documento e adimensão teórica discutida anteriormente, analisando as considerações que os PCN’sfazem sobre o trabalho com gêneros textuais.
