Introduction: Physical activities should be made available and practiced by all children because of the short- and long-term benefits in their development process. Therefore, it is very important that, from an early age, children be guided through the practice of physical activities that contribute to their harmonious and healthy growth, through methodologies that stimulate their psychomotor development with the participation of the physical education teacher. Objective: The aim of this study was to analyze the benefits of physical education classes in early childhood education. Materials and method: the discussion was carried out through a bibliographical review of scientific journals, characterizing this work as an exploratory research. Scientific articles and papers published in scientific journals available for consultation in databases such as; (Scielo, Google Scholar, Monographs), about the subject mentioned above. Literature review: Physical education is very important in the healthy growth of children, stimulating their psychomotor development, through creative and playful activities, observing their maturation process, where cognitive, organic and relational acquisitions occur and is based on three knowledge Movement, intellect and affection. Final considerations: It is concluded that, when entering this vast field of knowledge, in which physical education and early childhood education show to be so linked, it is noted that, despite its relevance in the child's development process, we still run into the Studies and further research on this content.
