Resumo: Youth and Adult Education in Brazil is a public policy that aims to provide access and permanence to school for those who could not exercise this right at the expected age and is related to the promotion of human development, the reduction of social and social inequalities. compliance with social rights. The contextualized research of reality reveals a great challenge to be overcome in this educational modality, which is school dropout, the object of this research, in a public school in Santo André, state of São Paulo, whose objective is to verify the reason for school dropout. Youth and Adult Education. As specific objectives, we list: understand the reasons that lead students to drop out of school and check the needs and suggestions they present for the qualification of Youth and Adult Education. We started from the hypothesis that school dropout is associated with structure and organization and with personal issues, as students have low interest in school, not choosing to continue their studies as a life priority. The methodology will be of a qualitative and documentary nature and, as instruments of data collection, participant observation will be applied, the semi-structured interview with students and educators and analysis of the official school documents, related to Youth and Adult Education, such as enrollment, class diary, school history and cycle council minutes. As an intervention proposal, we will socialize the result of the research with the teaching and student staff of that school, proposing a dialogue between the subjects to raise awareness of the context, the needs and possibilities for change, and deliver a copy to the Department of Education. of the dissertation.To support the youth and adult categories as conscious and critical subjects, education as a right and public policies, we will use the authors of Critical Pedagogy; in the category of construction of Youth and Adult Education in the municipality of Santo André the publications of the Municipal Network of Santo André; in the legislation category, we will use education standards, such as: Law of Guidelines and Bases, Opinion of the National Education Council, National Curriculum Guidelines for Basic Education, National Education Plan and Municipal Education Plan of Santo André. As previous conclusions of the research, it can be pointed out that among the causes of school dropout in the 1st Term of Youth and Adult Education are personal factors, namely, the need for paid work, learning difficulties, low self-esteem and criticality and lack of perspectives of personal and economic overcoming, financial factors, such as the poor distribution of financial resources among the teaching modalities and structural and pedagogical factors in the school environment, which do not provide the exercise of criticality.

Partimos de la hipótesis de que el abandono escolar está asociado con la estructura y la organización y con problemas personales, ya que los estudiantes tienen poco interés en la escuela y no eligen continuar sus estudios como una prioridad de la vida. La metodología será de naturaleza cualitativa y documental y, como instrumentos de recopilación de datos, se aplicará la observación participante, la entrevista semiestructurada con estudiantes y educadores y el análisis de los documentos escolares oficiales, relacionados con la educación de jóvenes y adultos, como la matrícula, diario de clase, historia escolar y actas del consejo del ciclo. Como propuesta de intervención, compartiremos los resultados de la investigación con el personal docente y los estudiantes de esa escuela, proponiendo un diálogo entre las asignaturas para crear conciencia sobre el contexto, las necesidades y posibilidades de cambio, y entregar una copia al Departamento de Educación. de la disertación. Para apoyar las categorías de jóvenes y adultos como sujetos conscientes y críticos, la educación como un derecho y políticas públicas, utilizaremos los autores de Pedagogía Crítica; en la categoría de construcción de Educación de Jóvenes y Adultos en el municipio de Santo André, las publicaciones de la Red Municipal de Santo André; en la categoría de legislación, usaremos estándares educativos, tales como: Ley de Pautas y Bases, Opinión del Consejo Nacional de Educación, Pautas Curriculares Nacionales para Educación Básica, Plan Nacional de Educación y Plan de Educación Municipal de Santo André. Como conclusiones previas de la investigación, se puede señalar que entre las causas del abandono escolar en el primer trimestre de la educación de jóvenes y adultos se encuentran factores personales, a saber, la necesidad de trabajo remunerado, dificultades de aprendizaje, baja autoestima y criticidad y falta de perspectivas de superación personal y económica, factores financieros, como la mala distribución de los recursos financieros entre las modalidades de enseñanza y factores estructurales y pedagógicos en el entorno escolar, que no proporcionan el ejercicio de la criticidad.A Educação de Jovens e Adultos no Brasil se constitui como política pública que visa possibilitar acesso e permanência à escola aos que não puderam exercer esse direito na idade prevista e se relaciona com o fomento ao desenvolvimento humano, à diminuição das desigualdades sociais e ao cumprimento dos direitos sociais. A pesquisa contextualizada da realidade revela um grande desafio a ser superado nessa modalidade educacional, que é a evasão escolar, objeto desta pesquisa, em uma escola pública de Santo André, estado de São Paulo, cujo objetivo é verificar o porquê da evasão escolar da Educação de Jovens e Adultos. Como objetivos específicos, elencamos: compreender os motivos que levam os educandos à evasão escolar e verificar as necessidades e sugestões que apresentam para a qualificação da Educação de Jovens e Adultos. Partimos da hipótese de que a evasão escolar está associada à estrutura e organização e a questões pessoais, pois os educandos apresentam baixo interesse pela escola, não elegendo a continuidade dos estudos como prioridade de vida. A metodologia será de cunho qualitativo e documental e, como instrumentos de coleta de dados, serão aplicadas a observação participante, a entrevista semiestruturada com os educandos e educadores e a análise dos documentos oficiais da escola, relacionados à Educação de Jovens e Adultos, como matrícula, diário de classe, histórico escolar e atas de conselho de ciclo. Como proposta de intervenção, socializaremos o resultado da pesquisa com a equipe docente e discente da referida escola, propondo um diálogo entre os sujeitos para sensibilização do contexto, das necessidades e possibilidades de mudança, e entrega para a Secretaria de Educação de um exemplar da dissertação. Para fundamentar as categorias jovens e adultos como sujeitos conscientes e críticos, educação como direito e políticas públicas, utilizaremos os autores da Pedagogia Crítica; na categoria construção da Educação de Jovens e Adultos no município de Santo André, as publicações da Rede Municipal de Santo André; na categoria legislação, utilizaremos as normatizações da educação, como: Lei de Diretrizes e Bases, Parecer do Conselho Nacional de Educação, Diretrizes Curriculares Nacionais da Educação Básica, Plano Nacional de Educação e Plano Municipal de Educação de Santo André.
