Discussions about textbooks and teaching materials in Mathematics Degrees at state universities in São Paulo: revelations from their Course Pedagogical Projects

Resumo: Textbooks are part of the current agenda of reflections and research in Mathematics Education. Considering the initial formation of the Mathematics teacher as a relevant locus to inquire about the possibilities that the different resources provide in making decisions related to the teaching practice, we consider: the courses of Degree in Mathematics of the state universities of São Paulo have provided opportunities for discussions/reflections to about the textbook? For this, we qualitatively analyze the Pedagogical Projects of these courses, carrying out a documentary research with the assumptions of content analysis. As a result, we found that all courses mention the textbook and/or teaching materials, either in the egress profile or in curricular components, with a greater focus on the analysis aspect of these resources. We believe that this study contributes to a debate about the textbook, in addition to pointing out investigations and gaps in the field of research on this material.

Considerando la formación inicial del profesor de Matemáticas como un locus relevante para indagar sobre las posibilidades que los diferentes recursos brindan en la toma de decisiones relacionadas con la práctica docente, consideramos: los cursos presenciales de Licenciatura en Matemáticas de las universidades estaduales de São Paulo tienen ¿Proporcionó oportunidades para discusiones/reflexiones sobre el libro de texto? Para ello, analizamos cualitativamente los Proyectos Pedagógicos de estos cursos, realizando una investigación documental con los presupuestos del análisis de contenido. Como resultado, encontramos que todos los cursos mencionan el libro de texto y/o los materiales didácticos, ya sea en el perfil de egreso o en los componentes curriculares, con mayor énfasis en el aspecto de análisis de estos recursos. Consideramos que este estudio contribuye a un debate sobre el libro de texto, además de señalar investigaciones y vacíos en el campo de investigación sobre este material.Os livros didáticos estão fazendo parte da agenda atual de reflexões e investigação em Educação Matemática. Considerando a formação inicial do professor de Matemática como um lócus relevante para inquirir sobre as possibilidades que os diferentes recursos proporcionam na tomada de decisões relacionadas à prática docente, cogitamos: os cursos presenciais de Licenciatura em Matemática das universidades estaduais paulistas têm oportunizado discussões/reflexões a respeito do livro didático? Para isso, analisamos de forma qualitativa os Projetos Pedagógicos desses cursos, realizando uma pesquisa documental com os pressupostos da análise de conteúdo. Como resultados, encontramos que todos os cursos trazem menções ao livro didático e/ou materiais didáticos, seja no perfil do egresso ou em componentes curriculares, com foco maior no aspecto de análise desses recursos.
