Analysis of the reading habit of students of Padagogy

Resumo: The study aimed to investigate the reading habits of students in the Pedagogy course at the College of Education, Science and Letters of Central Countryside. We opted for a qualitative approach and the case study with the application of a questionnaire with students from the Pedagogy course. We conclude that the reading habits of these academics are basically the bibliography of the disciplines, even so in an incomplete way, as it is often related to texts associated with some evaluation process. Although, the students believe that the Pedagogy course helps in their reading formation, they suggested encouraging free reading of other literary genres, educational legislation and the area of ​​didactics. Students complete by informing that they do not feel prepared to train new readers. Then, the research allows teachers and administrators to reflect about the students' reading habits and propose actions which strengthen the formation of readers.

Optou-se por uma abordagem qualitativa e pelo estudo de caso, com a aplicação de questionário com alunos do curso de Pedagogia. Concluímos que os hábitos de leitura dos referidos acadêmicos são, basicamente, a bibliografia das disciplinas, ainda assim de modo incompleto, pois frequentemente está relacionada aos textos associados a algum processo avaliativo. Embora os alunos acreditem que o curso de Pedagogia ajude em sua formação leitora, sugeriram incentivar a leitura livre de outros gêneros literários, da legislação educacional e da área de didática. Os alunos completam informando não se sentirem preparados para formar novos leitores.
